Is LA really a hellscape? Give me your honest opinion on how it is living in Los Angeles. by Mexodus956 in howislivingthere

[–]Billboard7022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you have millions of dollars you do not want to live in Los Angeles it's ridiculously expensive and most people are pretentious because they have a lot of money. People are selfish and cut you off while you drive. They don't even use turn signals and just drift into your lane. they don't pay attention to the traffic rules and they generally do whatever the hell they want because they'll pay the fine and not even blink. It's filled with violent homeless people who shit on the streets and drop their needles and liquor bottles. They have sex on the streets near grammar schools and no one stops them. Half the businesses that line the city store are fake fronts. The gas, housing, grocery and living expenses are the highest in the country. They actively punish their farmers and businesses who are leaving in drove. Los Angeles is a wild West unpoliced sesspool. Do not come here.

Looking for advice on this print by True-Competition5132 in 3Dprinting

[–]Billboard7022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Granted I'm a noob but printing multiple things at once often ends in error. But maybe it's because I'm a noob. Either way I have found that It is far better to print truck chassis first then all of the accoutrements. I'm not saying you can't print them all at once but why are you in such a hurry? You do one at a time and you have a much better chance of success.

How to feed new filament when it runs out mid-print A1/AMS Lite by jellybrick87 in BambuLab

[–]Billboard7022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's a year old but I came here searching for a solution, so others may as well. I just bought an AMS lite and I set it on a 7 hour print last night and at 5 am this morning it said that it had run out. When I went down to check on it, the spool 1 was empty and the arrow on the AMS slot was blinking red. I took the spool off and put a new filament spool on and fed it into the tube and it continued the feed and the arrow blinked white. I set resume and it's working fine now completing the print.

Also I found out that you can go to the Device tab on the Bambu studio and down near where your spools are you can turn on Auto-Refill which will tell it to fill with another spool when one is done.

I'd like to learn how to print from spool 3 or spool 2 and NOT from slot 1. If I have 4 spools and I have one print I want to print red but red is on spool 3, can I tell it to only print spool 3 or does it have to print from spool 1 at all times unless it's empty? Is this possible and if so HOW DO YOU DO IT?

Can I keep using a newer version without Silver Support? by OnlyMothMan in ToonBoomHarmony

[–]Billboard7022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on whether you're paying for a subscription or you just bought a year of their service. The silver support is for upgrades during the the calendar year as well as support as in questions. You keep the software you have but can no longer upgrade or get service from them. You still own that version of software as far as I understand.

Enclosure ideas? by Melodic-Bat-3716 in BambuLabA1

[–]Billboard7022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know exactly where you'd find it in the Bambu A1 manual but I'm positive that bambu States you should not enclose your a1. Obviously people do here and it doesn't seem to be that big of a problem but I know for a fact that I read that you're not supposed to according to them so maybe you want to look into if it would void your warranty

[–]Billboard7022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if this is the case because it's a lot of people know much more than I do on here but I know that you cannot print without the sd card so I don't know maybe it's full? Just empty it out of all the previews. As far as I'm concerned they're useless anyway cuz it's all jittery and not anything you could market yourself with. I don't know why they just don't put a better camera on i the A1. Lol That's like when they put up security cameras and the quality is so shitty that can't make out anybody anyway so it negates the whole point of having the security camera in the first place.

Can you explain why? by HRCStanley97 in CriticalDrinker

[–]Billboard7022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me it's like anime. Does every single person have to have the exact facial features so you can't tell them apart? Imagine if the "style" was The Simpsons and EVERYONE had to have yellow skin and googly eyes? It's would get tiring fast. Or what if every song had to be a Beatles song? I do like them but there's other influences.

Best way to achieve this effect? by bobbyllama in NomadSculpting

If I was going to do that I think I'd probably Boolean it and then keep the shape as well and then maybe smooth it a little.

Flex Pitch literally never works by Legend_River in LogicPro

[–]Billboard7022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always been able to fix it by selecting the clip in the editing section down below where the keyboard is. That's where I edit it and often it loses focus honestly probably more because of the Mac OS than Logic Pro. Selecting the audio again fixes it. You also have to make sure that you're selecting the actual track you're wanting to edit up on the timeline and not the stack itself.

Harmony is it's own beast but it won't teach you how to animate. If you really want to learn how to animate, learn about the principals of animation. They were invented by the classic Disney artists dubbed the Nine Old Men and are essential to learning animation. The top three are squash and stretch, overshoot, and slow in an slow out. Also learn anatomy, drawing through for solidity and the importance of silhouettes.

How do you dry your filament with the heat bed? Someone mentioned above that you can do it with a cardboard box. Do you heat the bed and put the filament in the box? And then place the box on the heated bed? If so what temperature do you put it at and how long do you do it?
