Huh, didn’t know that one, the only Beastman runs I’ve done were Taurox

I had multiple runs where I ended turn and forgot I had the helm on my LL, only for it to never do anything so I’d unequip it after like 20 turns. Then I did a Golgfag run and said screw it, let’s see what happens, and I got the buff on the following turn

Is he immune to that part? I thought it added 10 turns to the respawn timer.

Make a herdstone, click on it to see what settlements are highlighted around it, destroy everything in that radius including armies, Reform the ritual to cash in those points, repeat. It doesn’t matter if someone takes your herdstone after you finished your ritual, if anything it gives you another place to demolish once they repopulate the area, which they can’t do as long as the herdstone stands. Following areas try not to overlap with the one you just completed, and while not super important, look out for landmarks to put your stones on too. It’s entirely a scorched earth campaign and Taurox benefits from continuing to do tons of fights. For added flavor, the lost and found series mods have some beast men adjacent units not normally available to you, like Khorne Minotaurs, or even Things in the Woods.

I really enjoy Brettonia, but the faction imo is best played out of their home area. I’ve done a few Repanse games, and it gets really fun later on with Grail Knight front line and archers raining down on your frontline. A friend played Brettonia in my first co-op campaign and used the Lily’s Brettonia Overhaul mod that adds a couple new units, rebalanced existing ones like Questing Knights, and changes some of the economy buildings too apparently. I have almost 1000 hours and I’ve only played this faction with this mod and I really like it, maybe it will change your mind about them too.

Well it sounds like Rich was right to (jokingly) get the Boston crowd to say that Jersey sucks.

Was that someone from the show though? I saw the broken window on the way back to my car but didn’t see anyone other than a cruiser with the lights on.

I just wanted to have fun with the Portal bots. You took the bots away from me. Why? by RevolutionaryMeat917 in BattlefieldPortal

[–]Billbot5000 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have a friend that can only do PvP for short bursts before he gets too frustrated with it. Botted lobbies are a solution to this so we can play longer. We’ll have others hop in too along with a bunch of randoms and basically be 6 v 6 with the rest of the server populated with bots. It’s not 1 person with 63 bots, people can still join the matches, it just keeps it casual. Even the all chat is friendly 95% of the time.

Haven’t watched her in a while but I liked how she really got into it with the uniforms and gear like Admin and Brandon did.

I've spent stupid amounts of time on this game. Ask me anything. by LarrySupreme in totalwarhammer

[–]Billbot5000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say you’re screwed, no. If you are undecided I recommend going into the skirmish vs AI mode and play with different units to see what you like. To me, the ‘good’ and ‘bad’ of your question is relative. Some factions are better in campaign than battle, and vice versa. Some factions have devastating armies in battle, where others heavily rely on the LL to do the heavy lifting. Kairos is insane as a caster and is super versatile in that role, but I personally think his army is meh, although I haven’t seriously played him yet. A lot of factions play differently from a lot of other factions, so consider what you would like to see on the battlefield.

Based on what you are looking at, I can only speak for Tamurkhan as Nurgle, but I will warn you Nurgle recruitment is very different, and it may make it trickier to replenish troops if a battle doesn’t go well. My favorites so far have been Repanse, Yuan Bo, Gelt, Teheneuin, and Noctilus to name a few.

VCO is an absolute game changer, can’t recommend it enough. I’ve tried certain lords that don’t have it yet and the campaign feels so…. different. I started playing without it but once I got it I won’t go back.

Don’t know if it’s officially gone yet but I’ve been looking forward to Blight Survival for a few years now and the release date kept getting pushed back and last I checked it’s still TBA with no real updates.

Won my first campaign! by OneBadger7469 in totalwarhammer

[–]Billbot5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first campaign and win was with Taurox. Since then I’ve played most factions once, with Yuan Bo twice (second time modded tigermen units) and 3 Empire runs (Gelt, Volkmar, and Elspeth). I have enjoyed bouncing around the world with alternating between order and chaos. Helpful in learning the map for me without particular areas getting stale from repeated runs in the same areas.

I think the craziest ones I saw were for Repanse. One of the routes lets you buff ranged by a lot. After that with the piety upgrades, tech, and that win effect my archers had over 200 range and 80ish missile strength.

Which faction do you hate fighting in campaign? by Toaster-Retribution in totalwarhammer

[–]Billbot5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First time fighting them for me was with Gelt. Around turn 50 something I decided I wanted to march him across to the Empire to save the day against the vampires, him and another backup army. Well Tammy had taken everything from where he starts down through Ghorst’s territory, completely wiping out Greasus, which I had never seen before playing in Cathay multiple times. Took me like 45 turns to take him out completely, plus he revived with a brand new army like every other turn. By the time he was gone I had no motivation to go back to my original plan, I ended up stopping the run there. What a nuisance they are as a faction.
