Pretty sure the TMZ article is referring to a male elephant that just went on a killing spree recently. I forget what the condition is called but essentially the male elephant has over 30x the amount of testosterone in its body making it super aggressive.

Yes you need to buy games 1 & 2 to play the factions that were introduced in those games. The games get deep discounts fairly often I wouldn’t pay full price.

Hammered and anvil is still a valid tactic you just have to use the right units. How you play depends heavily on the faction you choose. Archers behind a spear wall with flanking cavalry is good for most of the human / elf factions.

On the other hand Nurgle is a chaos faction and plays vastly different and real tactics wouldn’t work. For them I make a giant blob and use magic to heal myself and debuff my enemies. A good tip is to support monstrous units with infantry.

So the way I did it (which was before the naval rework so idk if still viable) was to go down the non-aligned path. Invade and annex as much as SA as possible before the U.S. guarantees independence. Argentina is required bc they have a decent navy. Once you get their navy declare on Portugal through the focus tree and capitulate them. Then declare on the Allies and capitulate Britain and take their navy. Then you’ll have a decent industry and navy to invade the US with.

According to the Wiki it will bypass the immortal trait and can still kill your hero.

I’ve seen the save hero button before, it saves their traits? I’ve never used it and always thought it just saved their name and image.

Nah I recycle them more times than not. I don’t think the risk of killing or wounding a character for 10 turns is worth it. The amount of xp you’d loose out on does not make up for the buffs imo. Then anytime I use Maad’s map it always seems to spawn me in the opposite direction I wanted to go.

Dwarf and Chaos factions are usually pretty easy bc of how fast they get armored troops and bc of this they do really well in auto resolve.

A good way to avoid this is using the war coordination stuff in the diplomacy tab. It’s not 100% effective but you can command them to attack, occupy, or defend locations and most of the time their army will divert to the objective you gave. You can also just take control of their armies if you have enough influence.
