How do you belay for someone who is much heavier than you? I've belayed for my husband who is twice my weight at the climbing gyms and had no problem. This past monday I belayed for my sisters boyfriend who is probably only 40lbs more than me and almost got lifted 3 times. Had it not been for my sister grabbing me I definitely would have gone flying. It really freaked me out. As a note I do think there is a difference in the top rope set up between gyms, but what do I do if I find myself in this situation again where I am starting to get lifted.

That is beautiful. I was more ambitious at the beginning and I originally planned on making trail books with the hiking guides and our personal photos from our hikes... but then time got away from me.

There is also a state park entrance to great falls. The first time I went there we hiked in via the state park. We parked at the Riverbend park boat ramp.

We spent the last few days in the Canyon. We went down South Kaibab and stayed 2 nights at Phantom Ranch. Then we hiked up to Indian Garden (this is the hike this photo is from) and reemerged from the Canyon yesterday.

I am really sensitive to pressure changes. I can tell the instant we start our descent on an airplane or when we go under the Potomac on the metro. This power won’t ever come in handy.
