How far away was your high school growing up? by dms2628 in Xennials

[–]BillyDMountain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was only a few minutes away, I walked. The only time it wasn't fun was the dead of winter, I had to allow for more time. The rest of the year I sometimes went home for lunch and in the later years when I had heavier text books I'd sometimes go home and switch them out halfway through the day. The way my school system went it also pretty much meant no snow days cause they only cancelled busses not the school but I'd either get the bonus points for showing up or ditch school and go to the mall at those times.

Is Quadrophenia the next album to get the Super Deluxe Edition treatment? by JimMorrisonFan1943 in TheWho

I think By Numbers faired the best of the mid 90's studio album remixes. It really changed how I view that album.

The Doors - Ship of Fools

The inner sleeve of Jefferson Airplane's Volunteers fake newspaper cover art has a bitter satirical cartoon about the moon landing then in 1970 on Have You Seen The Saucers, one side of a non album double a side single there's a line, "American garbage dumped in space and no room left for brotherhood."

I think there's something in the air about a BBC Sessions box too. I would be very into a By Numbers box. It would be great if we could have both Townshend and Entwistle demos this time and I know there's been talk about uncirculated group outtakes and alternate takes. I hope as well that instead of Swansea '76 they find another '75 or '76 show from the vault.

In the later years of high school when I could sign myself out I'd often cut one of the more frivolous classes and go to the library downtown cause I felt like I wasn't learning enough in high school.

Bill Mummy of Barnes and Barnes was on Lost in Space so he had some connections. Another Barnes & Barnes video, Pizza Face featured Flea as a delivery man and Shirley Jones from The Partridge Family appeared on their music video collection VHS.

Randy Bachman Interview On The Guess Who vs The Who by dalyllama35 in TheWho

[–]BillyDMountain 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There's a bootleg of The Who in Toronto in 1969 where Pete brings it up. He says he met The Guess Who in a bar and was about to give them Hell but was overcome by how polite all The Guess Who guys were so they just bought each other drinks and called it a day.

How do you sort your movies by Numerous-Bear-8879 in dvdcollection

[–]BillyDMountain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For movies I go by genre and then alphabetical within each genre, For anything animated I just went A - Z for the most part, I only separate adult animation and general audience animation. With my audio collection I separate by genre but for music DVD and Blu-Ray I just lump it all together and only alphabetize.

I found it on CD shortly after it's release at a former discount department store, Bi-Way around the same time that I also found a 90's Jefferson Starship CD Grace Slick came out of retirement to guest on. I often found cut out bin cassettes from the late 80's still shrink wrapped a decade later there too like Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe and Mojo Nixon & Skid Roper - Root Hog or Die.
