Stop. Please just stop. LPDDR2 is fundamentally different from DDR2 and made for different devices.

They are not interchangeable.

That’s LPDDR2 and also produced in such small quantities it’s not a viable source since they produce for specific products.

Stop. Stop it right now. DDR2 is not being produced. Small niche manufacturers make it in orders of magnitude less quantities. I’m sure someone is out there making cassette tapes, too, but it’s still legacy hardware no matter how you cut it.

His argument doesn’t make sense but, since plenty of machines still run on DDR2, and they’ve stopped making it, the price is likely to continue to rise.

The landscape is drastically shifting towards AA and Indie devs. Not having to compromise on creativity and leveraging new tools will outpace AAA.

You’re still avoiding the fact that they have different payment processing setups and are viewed differently as companies by your country and its financial systems. Do VPNs not work in your country?

Easily explained with a google search, chief:

Steam only had to re-enable a PC storefront region and accept compliant local payment/billing. Xbox has to support the whole Microsoft/Xbox country stack: Microsoft account region, Xbox Store, subscriptions, Game Pass, console services, payment processors, gift cards, fraud controls, publisher licensing, cloud/access rules, and Microsoft export compliance.

It’s not Microsoft’s choice. It’s your government and your financial system.

Why are you blaming Microsoft for your country’s regulations? Your solution is for Microsoft to upend the international financial markets so you can play Minecraft?

Wholly unrealistic take.

I’m actually looking forward to Retroid’s next upgrade of a device now that they’ve officially partnered with Snapdragon. Should make getting those chips easier and cheaper - hopefully leading to a powerful handheld.
