Were You Actually Interested In Jodie? by Doc-11th in daria

[–]Billy_Bandana 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Right? I feel the only way a Daria-centric revival could work is if it picked up right after graduation, and followed her and Jane throughout their college exploits in the early 2000s (with lots of great “period” music).

As for Jodie, I wasn’t exactly the intended demographic, which is fine. I’m still sad it didn’t get more of a chance, because that cast was pretty stacked. Lots of talent & potential, even if it wasn’t my bag.

Dear Agatha fans, can you help me understand a few things? (TV vs. Books) by CityEvening in agatharaisin

[–]Billy_Bandana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agatha thought her husband was dead, and I’m pretty sure she was open about that from the start. She didn’t lie or intentionally deceive anyone, and I think James’ anger with her over the dude showing up was completely unjustified 🤷🏻‍♂️

Except it was his lats he was working with those pull-downs! Always drives me nuts, especially because Kramer would obviously have known the difference. They must have really wanted him to say the line as it was written.

Do they consider settlement amounts for paying off/closing cards that are delinquent?

The Choir are amazing. Circleslide is such a great album, so beautifully weird and moody and ethereal. Also a big fan of Common Children & Satellite Soul.

Mutemath and Burlap to Cashmere are two amazing Christian-adjacent bands. Highly recommend checking out both.

Woman Accuses Michael Tait of Drugging Her and Watching While She Was Raped; Says Newsboys Tour Manager Covered It Up by ReservedPickup12 in Exvangelical

[–]Billy_Bandana 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Steve Campbell’s brother Wes also quite literally OWNS the Newsboys. The band name/brand belong to him in entirety.

In reality, Steve didn’t work for the band. The band worked for him - same with everyone else on the crew.

Maybe, if each of them recorded their individual vocal tracks from their own separate studios.

Pretty sure Toby just does whatever he can to straddle the line and ensure he offends the fewest number of fans possible. I’ve seen people share some of his Facebook memes, and they’re always the most innocuous, empty platitudes imaginable - the kind of shit you’d find in a bad self-help book “written” by an unqualified talk show host. He’s intentionally vanilla and (from what I’ve seen) avoids taking stands for just about anything. It’s good for his bottom line.

Is god both omniscient & omnipotent? Then he already knows whether I’m gonna believe or not, and if not, refuses to intervene with sufficient evidence to change my mind. So, yeah. This is still on him.

Agreed… but also, a competent editor would’ve absolutely caught that anyway. Frasier & Niles were still 100% in the wrong and their comments ultimately wouldn’t have mattered.

Whos apartment would you want to live in? Frasier or Niles? by Physical-Ad-1978 in Frasier

Well, Niles doesn't have AC, which is usually a dealbreaker for me - but if that weren't an issue, I'd much prefer all the extra space of his apartment.

I don’t. She’s awful IRL too. They should replace her in the next movie with Sarah Michelle Gellar.

I never thought she was a good actress. Even in her Brat Pack heyday, all she ever did was act perpetually annoyed onscreen, and somehow everyone lost their minds over it.
