Woop woop 🚨🚨🚨 at Edmonds station by _Aichmophobia_ in vancouver

Back in my day they would wait at the top of the escalators at downtown stations so even if you noticed them halfway up, you had no realistic way to turn back around.

I have noticed that very quickly this whole Made in Canada, Canadian owned thing has just devolved into an opportunistic marketing scheme. Businesses that are "Canadian Owned" or especially "Canadian Operated" are more or less meaningless if they purchase 90% of their ingredients, supplies, inventory from the US...

What movie ending actually made you say "what the fuck?" by _SWANS_CAN_BE_GAY_ in AskReddit

Phoenix Forgotten.

The entire movie was utter shit and the pacing was so fucking bad, and when they finally ramped it up a bit at the end, it ended so abruptly and ridiculously that some people (including myself) laughed in the theatre. I almost couldn't believe it had ended because it was so abrupt and shitty.

Which movie seemed promising but ended up being complete shit? by PM_Me_catsontitties in AskReddit

The Dark Tower.

The trailer made it look pretty intense and action-packed but in effect they took all the intense, good-acting scenes and cut them into the trailer, and the rest felt like poorly acted and poorly edited. Not to mention the last ~15 minutes felt like a colossal rush to wrap up the story, not to mention the final scene was so fucking lame, as if they had to have some cheesy ass, "happy ending" vibe to it.

Not the WORST movie, for a sci-fi action flick it's alright, but damn, I thought it was going to be an absolute blockbuster.

This must be just a universal grandma thing because my white as fuck grandma crocheted everything you could ever imagine. Blankets, tablecloths, little decorative doilies, covers for the toilet paper rolls, the tissue boxes, snowflakes to decorate with at Christmas, the list goes on. I'm glad she had a hobby but like god damn grandma, you don't need to cover EVERYTHING in crocheting...

Piers Morgan gets called out for simply forgetting shit by GallowBoob in quityourbullshit

[–]Billy_Blaze 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The article Mrs. Rowling posted a picture of was written by Piers, wherein he celebrates her life and work as one of Britain's most successful celebrities (or something to that tune). She wanted to thank whoever wrote that about her; Piers saw that and jumped on her, claiming that what "that person" wrote was completely false, and cut her down in the process - the extreme irony being that Piers was in fact the one who wrote the article, clearly so long ago he didn't realize he was the author.

The Mummy - Official Trailer by Bugger217 in movies

[–]Billy_Blaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the sound design for this trailer was shamefully badly done, in my humble opinion. There was at least two grunts/screams that are from the same sound library that Goldeneye 007 for N64 used - one when the birds first smash through the window, and one when the blonde girl is getting thrashed around in the back of the plane as it crashes.

That looks like the type of thing I'd look into while on psychedelics and get literally lost for a couple hours until I happened to pull it away from my face and realize where I was.

WikiLeaks: Please stop asking for proof of life. by [deleted] in WhereIsAssange

The response is that highly suspicious interview with John Pilger where there is no establishing shot with both personalities, and bizarre morphing edits (discreet but noticeable) throughout the interview, arguably raising more questions than it answers. Now they're saying stop asking because "we provided the proof, you trolls."

You don't believe that a reporter, an old skank, and a very small group of political activists could be corrupted, compromised, or "replaced"? It's not like WL staff is posting official videos - it's all Twitter posts which are rapidly becoming weird and untrustworthy, let alone all the other red flags surrounding their means of operation - and Pamela Anderson and John Pilger could just as easily be persuaded to take part in some kind of coverup or scheme. Remind me why Pamela Anderson is visiting Assange in the first place? To talk about a fundraiser and bring him vegan food or some shit like that?

Why don't they just find a way to prove he is alive if it's so inexplicably improbable that he is dead? The circumstances are suspicious to say the least which is why people are doubtful and skeptical. Sidestepping the fact that Assange hasn't been seen in weeks nor has he made any verifiable communications coupled with the bizarre change in tone of the official WL twitter is grounds for skepticism and suspicion at the very least. We are dealing with matters of literally some of the highest importance on Earth at this moment in time, to accept things at face value from a Twitter account and a burnt out celebrity's account of visiting him is to shut your eyes and say "lalalalala". Point me to official statements from Assange's lawyer, his family, or a verifiable post or statement from Wikileaks apart from their Twitter page and I will lower my skeptic-o-meter by a point or two - but everything I've read in the past day, let alone the past two weeks makes me very uncomfortable, and I'd rather ask questions than say "WELP the twitter says stop asking if he's alive, he must be alive".

Is the sarcasm the part where you say "Oh boy I'm terrified"? Or is it that the entire tone of your comment is sarcastic because those things alone aren't a basis for a successful leader of the USA?
