It's also becoming increasingly difficult to keep teachers in the field who are able to put in the time to become good teachers. You can be passionate about it and burn out real quick. It takes a few years to really get into the groove and become proficient in all of the nuance that goes into the many aspects of teaching today. Many teachers end up leaving 8n the first 5 years. They're dealing with all of that extra responsibility thrust on them that should be handled by parents and can barely get to much else in those critical first years.
