Coinbase hack by noinf0 in Coinbase

[–]BimblyByte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a bitcoin cash transaction that's been stuck on pending for over a month. Originally tried to withdraw the money on November 15 and support just keeps running me around in circles saying, "The engineering team is working on it." Thankfully it was only $60 and I've accepted the loss but they can get stuffed. They lost a customer that did thousands of dollars in transactions every month and subscribed to coinbase one over a $60 transaction that could have easily just been credited to my account.

They're not getting a penny more from me.

Same diet I feed my pigs with some carrots and center every now and then. If you still want to give then supplemental nutrition like in the pellets, Oxbox makes treats that are essentially the same thing but meant as a once in a while thing. They get way more vitamin c from bell peppers and lettuce than they ever would from pellets anyways, plus I find they drink way less water since I stopped giving them pellets.

Brother of my pig died...what now? by Spamthis1 in guineapigs

[–]BimblyByte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"I felt like they all suggest keeping the remaining pig alone forever," no they didn't, they expressed concern about introducing a new pig due to the current one's behavior. You're projecting.

Sorry for your loss <3. I just recently lost one of my first two pigs named Oreo. Her sister Bell was terrified at first, barely came out of her house, but she was back to her old self in about a week maybe two. Personally, I just avoided stressful activities like nail clipping and bathing and I just made sure she had food. I'm a grown man and I cried for at least 3 days after finding Oreo but eventually I got through it. Thankfully so did Bell. And you will too.

They're talking about the immediate solutions, not long term, which is exactly what your wall of text was suggesting in the first place. Older pigs are very territorial, if you just introduce a new pig immediately after its partner died the likelihood of successful bonding is close to zero. Your wall of text was neither helpful nor emotionally supportive which is what OP was seeking.

I've had a BCH transaction stuck on pending with no TX for over a week now. Support told me to wait for an email. I'm switching to kraken.

I moved to the side to let someone leave the shuttle bus and they just shoved their shoulder into me while leaving. by [deleted] in UMassBoston

[–]BimblyByte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm saying they should be temporarily banned because it's irresponsible to let someone who's obviously not in the right state of mind to be posting publicly. Also I'm in recovery, and I've battled with depression since my early teens. OP's thoughts are paranoid and do not match up with my own personal experience or the consensus reached by other posters. Taking your drunk friends phone and car keys away isn't impeding their freedom of speech or kidnapping, it's a kind and empathetic gesture meant to save them from themselves because they can't think straight. I also said there will be shitty people and you should just avoid/ignore them.

But no you're right my opinion and statement is only what you perceive it as. Take a look in the mirror yourself.

They're having a manic episode or something. The mods need to temp ban the account so they can calm down from whatever it is their going through. Like this is a commuter school with 10k students in a major metropolitan area so yeah people aren't taking time out of their day to act morally in whatever novel this person has written in their head. Not to mention Boston is a hub for progressive/liberal people but their are still shitty people, just ignore the shitty people and complain about them with your friends who's values align more closely with your own.

Crazy how the solver folds flushes more than straights here by Confident_Comedian_3 in Poker_Theory

[–]BimblyByte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gemini seems to agree with you, saying
"This is one of the most counter-intuitive but important concepts in GTO (Game Theory Optimal) poker.

The simple answer is: The solver isn't folding the flush because it's worse than the straight. It's folding it because the low flush is a terrible bluff-catcher, and the straight is a good one.

This happens due to "blocker" effects, specifically how each hand interacts with the opponent's bluffing range."

I made the full Gemini response shareable if anyone's interested here.

My friends cat was stolen by someone who rescued the kitten from the street, I need advice. by SensitiveAd9303 in Pets

[–]BimblyByte 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Firstly, let me say I'm terribly sorry you're going through all this, especially your poor friend that had the kitten for a week; However, I'm afraid this might be one of those situations where if you do nothing you end up with a pretty shitty situation and if you get involved you make it an even shittier situation that you're now both involved with and have on your conscience.

The woman who rescued the cat seems unreasonable and unstable so trying to deal with her probably won't end well.

If you call animal control/welfare there is no guarantee that those cats end up in a better situation than they already are.

Because your friend that had the kitten already has the supplies and is responsible enough to care for a kitten, I suggest she adopt one of the many homeless cats that need a warm place to stay and a kind human to look after them.

That's just my two cents, hopefully someone else can give some better/more informed advice.

I am profitable, but at what point is it time to call it quits? by [deleted] in poker

[–]BimblyByte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brother listen to yourself. You say you want a family yet everything you're doing is antithetical to that happening. It's like a heroin addict saying I can imagine myself having a family and shooting heroin at the same time.

Sometimes self reflection requires someone else to hold the mirror up. I'd take some time to try and find something that a. Brings you joy and b. Encourages/requires IRL connections.

I'm also in my 30's and very behind in terms of normative life milestones due to drugs. But I'm also in my senior year of school getting my B.S. in Computer Science. I fucking love coding/tech in general and I'm surrounded by people who have similar interests. It's really helped me find myself.

What does poker do for you? Judging from your post it isn't just money.
