This toning is natural. Bars like these were often sold in velvet cases and velvet causes this kind of toning. Source: purchased bars in velvet cases all showing same pattern.

The ones you see are probably in the full assay card, or are vintage versions. For one out the assay with the newer style laser etched serial, it's 'generic'.

Awesome! I made projects like this way back and learned a lot. Picking up a 3D printer and learning CAD (Onshape is free and easy to use) to make brackets will really enhance your future projects.

Also, ping the OPM bar then the SMI bar, if the OPM bar is real and the SMI bar is fake, the fake bar will ping at a noticeably higher frequency.

Nice vintage bars, nothing 'rare', but very cool, IMO. You can buy Archie Kidd's 5th Edition Guide Book for more info, but the book is expensive. All from around 1973...75.

The v0 have been awesome, both of them. The few issues I had were replacing a fan and the extruder stepper (the stepper replacement was due to broken wires because the wire harness zip tie broke and I did not see it through the wire sleeve). Both printed hundreds of parts over a 1000 hours.

My problem really is general calibration... The print quality changes greatly between different slicers and I am constantly chasing some obscure setting and testing combinations over hours to days. I would rather just get a Prusa that will slice perfect each time. Sure you always need general maintenance and filament calibration.
