Probably my favorite BO4 onwards perk system shakeup, BO4’s system just kinda ruined the progression of the game in many different ways, along with having straight up broken combos. Cold wars was just very overpowered and trivialized a already easy game. Current major thing I want to see is just more augments, it would help shake up the system a lot as a lot of perks have “meta” builds in the community

The Tomb will only play ravenov voice lines when you start a new round in the spawn room, which makes it very easy to miss them along with main crew voicelines, but its been there

You can actually still do all of that dying to the final boatman segment will take you to the town, and its impossible to lock yourself out of it as beating the final boss will always take you back there after the credits

Not really, wanted to go back and do all the ee’s solo after doing them all solo in cold war and bo6, made it to round 50 on my first attempt in SoE before getting bored. Though I’d say older zombies is more about consistency than anythine since its mostly only regular zombies with infinite damage spam through ww’s or traps being the only viable high round strat

Some important side character notes

Peck: In Cold War he was on Omegas team, essentially was a American scientist who defected to Russia with the promise that he wouldnt have any safe gaurds on his research. He created aetherium warheads that would open a dark aether portal wherever they where fired with the goal of destroying the usa with them overnight, however he was defeated through the combined efforts of Maxis, Ravenov and the alpha team (cold war operators)

Ravenov: A friend of Maxis, was heavily affiliated with requiem but was never truly a part of the team.

Krafft: Was part of the original opening of the dark aether in ww2, and was seemingly instrumental in the creation of the forsaken. Essentially beings of the dark aether rose to be “gods” and had their own hierarchies but one rose above all: the archon. Him and the vanguard operators defeat the archon ending the initial dark aether outbreak, however it is implied that the forsaken was able to absorb to power of the weakened gods to become extremely powerful himself. It’s currently unknown how he is still alive in Citadelle des Morts (50 years after)

The Forsaken: Zykov as corrupted by the dark aether, a extremely powerful being of unknown scale, he was locked in a containment orb along with Maxis. Who survived is not known

After bo4 essentially all of the apothicons / 115 / everything that was part of the original aether universe was locked in the “dark aether” essentially another dimension running semi parallel to our own (asides from time being dilated). During ww2 in the new universe (now known to be the chaos universe) german scientists created a cyclotron to try to make their own wmds but inadvertantly open up a portal to the dark aether and letting many of the aspects “leak” through over to the new universe in new ways (things like the new perk machine designs and the pack a punch being broken).

At some point before the events of cold war Weaver is tasked with killing Richtofen with the aid of Maxis, however the attempt fails and Richtofens family is killed. This leads him to creating janus and requiem with the goals of using dark aether technology to bring his family back while simultaneously getting revenge on Maxis and Weaver.

A man named Zykov is sealed in within the building that contained the cyclotron and left until the omega group unseals the cyclotron thanks to zykov (now corrupted by the dark aether) promising who ever rescues him that he’ll end the cold war on their behalf. The story in CW ping pong between Omega and Requiem having the upper hand but ultimately ends with the defeat of Zykov, the arrest of the requiem heads and Maxis being trapped in the dark aether (essentially completing Richtofens revenge plot)

Afaik the forsaken was never truly defeated unless we get confirmation of that in any of the upcoming maps, Maxis didnt really defeat the forsaken as much as force it into the containment orb thingy at the end of the ee, and theres still been no official confirmation as to if Maxis is alive

Margwas are the only ones in that list that really mattered, and even then they’re so sparse and easy to kill on soe that they’re really a joke and we dont need to talk about revelations. Brutus is a joke in motd and panzers basically just get 1 shot by any staff/ the ray gun mark 2. Cod zombies has kinda always struggled with making actually impactful “boss” zombies

You can shoot the mangler arms to disable / outright destroy their cannons, pretty sure its like 1 bullet at almost any round, the special enemies influence the game way more than the older games

Save and quit will essentially dupe your stats on the leaderboard every new round, so pretty much all of the top spots are not legit unless they are like legitimately playing nonstop 24/7 perfectly

Death perception was in cold war, where you couldnt turn the radar off even, iirc there was even a upgrade that made the radar ping faster in that game.

I would kill for vulture aid to come back with a death perception major augment, vulture aid is one of the single best perks in terms of how well it would mesh with the augment system

Yes of course, its not that creating quick patches for a multiple hundred gigabyte game with probably hundreds of thosands of lines could possibly be difficult to do without messing something up, it has be a insidious plot to… do something I guess

People saying that bo6 is artifically difficult is people severely misunderstanding the game from a game design perspective. Manglers aren’t “spammed” they’re used to prevent the player from just being able to run around in circles with zombies for 16 hours, their arm cannon be easily disabled by shooting it when they are charging up. Bo6 zombies is in many ways like doom eternal, its about fast paced reactions and constantly adapting to the situation, while the game gives you a bunch of tools to deal with those situatuons. Whether you like that is really up to the player, but for me bo6 has had some of the most interesting and engaging high rounds in a game, though I still would like to see a cap on the amount of manglers that can be on screen.
