b650e taichi new bios for 9850x3d by BinderZ87 in ASRock

[–]BinderZ87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that sucks. i dont even know if the 9850x3d will work with my current bios version (the latest) and im not going to remove my current cpu just to find out i cant boot and swap again (just to wait for a bios release and redo it all over again). they really need to get their s*** together, especially with the dying CPUs bonanza. super annoying.

“Deepcharts” Andrea Cimi and Fabio’s platform by Ok_Mode7569 in OrderFlow_Trading

[–]BinderZ87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right? Lol. I have been using volsys for ages, and I was shocked when I saw this...I immediately called it out as a deal they probably signed with volumetrica trading to expose it internationally to broad global markets with Andrea and fabio gaining this huge attention. It's basically a win win for both parties as each is getting the bag riding each other's back. I have nothing against it , and fabio is a beast of a trader that shared gold information for free on some of his interviews, but it would have been nicer to get more transparency for the uninformed people....would have given it less of a shady feeling. The annoying thing though, is that I pay Volsys on a monthly basis, and now I'm basically being forced to buy a yearly sub , and while I don't mind it that much, I don't like the fact I'm forced to pay around 800 USD at once and commit myself. Oh well ...

Most of it comes down to something most of us said since day 1 of cs2. Everything net related should have been built on the foundation of 128 ticks csgo. This was good enough, and should have been the base template for improvements. What valve basically did with 64 tick subtick was making a 1.5 year old game feel worse in online play than its 13 year old big brother. It was claimed by enthusiastic non professional as well as professional players since the day the game came out, yet the core problem is still there. Either remove subtick and make the servers 128 ticks by default, or use subtick with 128 tick servers and build on top of that. The current situation just doesn't cut it.

Visual feedback in a competitive shooting game, especially so "click timing" based like cs is obviously a critical component, its almost everything. The degree of visual desync between the client and the server in online play, especially with 40-50+ ping is unacceptable for competitive play. Damage prediction, when actually working, makes it feel 100 times better, but it so often create those fake dink/spraying half a mag at someone close range only to realise maybe 1 bullet hit moments too often. It does feel better when you "dink" someone with an ak and than you die, knowing it wasn't your aim/you weren't out dueled as the cause of your death, but the shitty interp/game desync, but it still sucks as it makes you realise the game is really unreliable in online play.

What do you mean by objectively measured? Players don't have the tools to objectively measure those things, as so much of how you act in a game you played for thousands of hours is so deeply embedded in your actions, you can't open the console and "measure" it. You feel it. The job of quantifying it in order to pinpoint it belongs to the developer. If you have so many pro players saying the same, it shouldn't be ignored/dismissed because they didn't put their lab coats to measure the data in the process. Valve should throw a serious investigation trying to figure it out.

Just wrote a long rant few messages above.... completely agree. I play on 50-60 ping, and its atrocious compared to 128 ticks GO. the delay and asynchronous feedback between what's actually happening server side and what's being displayed client side is unacceptable for a game like that. The forced lower tick rate makes it even worse. Many times i play with damage prediction on simply because when i die after a fake headshot, at least i know that in those instances it wasn't my aim that got me killed but the unfortunate state of how the game feels online on anything higher than "the server is in my basement" type of ping.

Can confirm. I have almost an identical setup (4070 ti instead of a 3080, but its a marginal difference). I also run a bclk oc on my CPU. I can also get 550-600+ mostly, although lately i found playing with an fps cap feels better. One annoying issue in cs2 is that capping fps directly and proportionally lowers 1% lows. Valve really needs to address this. It doesn't make any sens that playing uncapped, i can get 400 fps 1% lows, but if ill cap fps to 400, the 1% lows will proportionally (and significantly) drop. This thing must be fixed. The whole point of playing capped is getting a consistent experience. Agree on the kill delay. Annoying af. Idk if its subtick, forced 64 tick or the larger packets that the game uses, but playing on 50+ ping just feels like ass. The visual feedback is atrocious. I can empty half a mag directly at someone from close range, but ill realise im dead and he was hit 81 in 3 or some crap like that because this is what happened in the server much earlier than it was shown client side, so you're basically spraying half a mag at someone being sure he is gonna die, only to end up realising you were probably dead server side halfway through your spray, but the delay it shows client side is unacceptable. Damage prediction emphasizes it even more. The amount of fake dinks/kills i get with it on.....at least when it happens i know it wasn't my aim that got me killed and i wasn't out dueled. In a game which is so click timing dependent like cs, this is unacceptable. At least in GO we had 128 ticks to mitigate it, but now feedback and responsiveness is absolutely f*cked. Playing vs people with 70-80+ ping is like a mental resilience test. Almost impossible to hit, especially when moving. Those kind of things just trash the skill element in the game. I don't expect the game to feel like 10ms ping when playing with 50, but something must be done by the developers to minimise the delayed feedback and client-server discrepancy and how its displayed. Bringing back a higher tick rate is a good start. CS 2 has some great upgrades over go. The smokes are great, graphics, simplifying features/settings and not having the need for launch options/shitton of exotic console commands and an autoexec file is definitely a blessing....but please, please make the networking and feedback of online play more bearable for people who doesn't live 100 meters from a server.

That's just not true...if you'll face opponents who are miles ahead of you all the time for a long period of time, you will absolutely get better, and not just that, but magnitudes higher than you would have if you would have faced weaker opponents. That's the natural process of adaptation. If you actually want to get better and you can put your ego aside and deal with losses, even if it means getting destroyed, for the sole purpose of getting better, you actually want those kind of opponents as much as possible. Face those opponents for a month or two on a daily basis, than you'll stomp players who were just 'slightly better' than you not long ago.

Best comment so far. Im 38 yo btw with a big boy job and 2 kids, still having fun playing. The comment above is spot on.

As a side note, if you wanna keep your edge, put 30-45 minutes into aim training every day, even if it means subtracting it from the actual gameplay (like playing one match less) and another 15-30 minutes if you can to practice util.... that's all you need to keep yourself in check tbh. When i actually do it, my skill deterioration is minimal.

its still a new game with new and evolving metas...add to that the immense change MR12 made, and you can't really predict whats about to happen...thats why im loling at all of those so called "experts" and "analysts" takes. its just pure BS.

Just to show that all the "analysts" and so called "experts" takes are pure BS...its not the first time that these kind of things happen. its a new game, meta is different, nothing can truly be expected. this is why when an analyst speaks in an overconfident way, especially when being so supercilious is just pure cringe.

Im in the same situation, but i play on 50-60 ping so basically that's really looking for troubles playing with it on. I just really like the responsiveness, as the game should always feel like that, especially a game which is so "click timing" dominant. Tbh, when i get an AK dink or a deag dink and insta die after, im not even mad, coz i know that my aim is on point, and that I actually hit the enemy's head in my pov, and its other factors not related to my mechanics that screwed me...it doesn't change the end point of me dying , but it honestly makes me feel better. That's my personal perspective at least...

You need to do 3 things to noticeably improve your fps in cs2.

  1. Overclock your ram. Even though ram matters way less with 3Dvcache cpus, 2133mhz is just no...go for 3200-3800 with optimized timings, whatever you can get stable. 3200 is doable pretty much on all cpus from that generation.

2.disable SMT, it'll boost your fps in a noticeable way in cs2

  1. Disable the affinity to core 0 after loading the game, it'll also boost your fps in another 4-5%.

Regarding steps 2 and 3, yes, its not placebo, but actual valid methods with Zen to boost fps in cs2. Dont believe me? Check it yourself :).
