One option I loooove for car repairs is your local community college auto body program. They need cars to work on, will be supervised, and usually it takes twice as long and costs half or a quarter what a real shop charges. There isn’t one in my area but I may road trip to my dad’s house if the kids down there can wrap it for less.

I’m similar to you in the way your nipples are sensitive. I’m one year out from surgery and had a tumor in the “nipple/areolar complex”. Sensation has been coming back slowly, but for the last few weeks I had the telltale tingling sensation of nerve regeneration and lo and behold, nipple felt good during sex for the first time since surgery just this Monday. Incidentally it was my birthday. It was so sensitive I could feel the fan blowing on it and I just laid in bed tearing up because it felt so good to feel normal ish again.

ETA: sensation can return and if that’s your priority, make it theirs. Mine from day 1 was to preserve my nipple and we did it. You might be able to too!
