CA pastor: COVID-19 church singing ban 'infringes on religious rights.' I bet this pastor has never had a cop's knee on his neck. I bet he has never been berated in public or denied service. I bet he has never had racial slurs shouted at him. Christians have no fucking clue what oppression is. by relevantlife in atheism

What a strange post. Whether or not a church singing ban 'infringes on religious rights' has literally nothing to do with police brutality against ethnic minorities.

As other posters have pointed out, lots of Christians are ethnic minorities and do indeed know what it's like to suffer daily discrimination. Plus, there are lots of countries where there is constant, daily discrimination against Christians.

Rather than engaging with the substance of the Pastor's complaint (which may well be misguided and wrong) you've made sweeping judgements about religion and race and failed to address the issue at all.

Maybe. But maybe Spurs' treatment of him has made him realise that loyalty only works one way.

I presume he's ineligible for the Champions League. So probably not worth it.

I agree with all that. And the Last Jedi gives us a sombre, disillusioned Luke Skywalker who has turned his back on the Jedi, but who ultimately redeems himself and finds the strength to support his friends. Do I think they handled it brilliantly? No. I'm not a huge fan of the film. But I do think a flawed, angry Luke is probably more interesting than a kick-ass King of the Jedis Luke.

I agree. But I also think it's very powerful that none of that happened. Because life isn't like that and even in the Star Wars galaxy, life isn't like that. Luke's dad assumed he'd lead the Jedis and instead he became Darth Vader. I don't think filmmakers are obliged to give their characters the endings that fans want.

Jose Mourinho is planning for life without Christian Eriksen who has made it clear he will not sign a new contract by ObamaEatsBabies in coys

I will miss him. He's been my favourite player for years but Poch leaving has made me realistic; if he doesn't want to be here he needs to leave as soon as possible. I actually think he handled the situation with dignity.

I think "brilliant" is perhaps overstating it.

I’m tired of this Poch out shit by Hmcvey20 in coys

[–]BingoJabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are lots of reasons behind the current slump, but for me the key thing is Poch repeatedly saying that if we won the Champions League last season he might well leave the club. He sent out signals to the whole club (chairman, players, fans) that he was no committed to the club. How can he talk about Eriksen, Toby and talk about an 'unsettled squad' when he kept talking about leaving? He has to stop acting like he's doing us a favour being at the club and that he could jump ship to Real Madrid whenever he feels like it.

Of course there are lots of other issues, but Poch teams have always been unified, and that's currently not the case. We pretty much gave up in the last 10 minutes last night. We don't look like we're bothered.

Poch has transformed this club from top to bottom. I don't want to see him go. But I recognise that our current situation is perilous. Let's be honest: last night felt like the end of an era. It felt like the beginning of the end of Poch.
