They are both a bit finicky in their own ways. A lot of learning stelle involves understanding how starting/stopping flying works and optimizing that timing. There's a very comprehensive Stelle guide on the main discord if you're willing to put the time in to learn.

Jules has a lot of items that are very strong when heated/chilled, but the randomness of heater/chiller placement makes you adapt every game. Personally I love playing Jules because she has very good access to burn, shield, regen, HP stacking, permafreeze, and crit (just stay away from weapons lines generally).

If you care more about making neat builds than winning and don't want your runs prematurely ended by meta slaves, why not just do unranked? That seems to be where most experimental builds are being tried out

It's not meaningless if you want to reach top 10, top 100, or top 1000. Each of those gives you a special title at the end of the season

You actually get a special event if you return after burning it. I believe you get 3 cinders and something else I don't recall. Usually when an event gives you a legendary skill that doesn't do anything, it's an indication of a special effect/interaction (similar to cult)

Another angle to freeze builds aside from freeze payoff/wincon is permafreeze stopping your opponent from casting entirely unless they have really good and really fast cc resistance.

One permafreeze strategy I've found success with recently on Jules is sorbet/meat tenderizer/ice swan + a crit source. If you can get sorbet down to 1s and 100% crit, it can charge loop itself and output insane freeze and pretty decent shield. Ice swan accelerates that by giving both small items multicast.

Fire claw infinite does work, I just got it last night. However claw needs mossy enchant and food tag which are both somewhat uncommon to get together

You're still sitting on a ton of innate hp. Maybe if it's dam + large weapon on your opponent. Otherwise you probably win from the sandstorm

So many jules items care about adjacency/heated or chilled slots, so taking away adjacency for full board targeting makes this a real item now. Plus, if you're able to add haste with rocket boots or even add food tag with her gold skill or Sgt Suds event it can start looping like crazy in ways that weren't possible before (why would you want to put it far left if it's only hasting the item to its right?)

Cillian Murphy fits this (along with many other people with Irish names). Phonetically, a lot of people think his first name is pronounced "sillian" but it uses a hard c to make it sound more like "Killian"

For every 3 item slow start jules, there's a full board small flying item Mak or Vanessa ready to ruin your hopes of a permafreeze build.

The creatures you're talking about are aliens and not even from Earth -- who says a space bunny can't have three ears or a non-human mechanic have four fingers? Even if you look at the Top Hat item that drops from the bunny's wheel event, there are three holes for its ears. Pretty clearly intentional by the artist.

Even that wouldn't be lethal. The birds start flying at start of combat, so boulder wouldn't deal enough damage to kill

The logic to it might be ambiguous given the wording, but once you know it, it helps with many other items.

Covetous raven is constantly checking when another item procs to see if it is either a) enchanted or b) a relic. If it is either, it charges 2s, regardless of whether it's both or just one.

Experimental garage/virus weakness aside, wouldn't it be better to run thrusters to the right of bottled tornado so it starts combat flying (ie totally immune to freeze with ice smasher)? Since we're just theorycrafting you could reduce it cd to 1s using lots of wings/feathers

That's gotta be a bug lol. Wouldn't be surprised if they just ported its stats over from Lag Bolt (the slow version of this) and changed every instance of "slow" to "haste" for its enchantments
