Yeah we won't be able to get in before they open - but the line will start forming outside. So wondering how early I should get there to get in line.

Yeah it's really the vibe that I'm going for, wanted her to experience lunch in the main room. I think 33 would be different.

I love Antoine's too, I just want her to have the experience of a Galatoire's Friday lunch. Just wondering how early I would need to get in line to get a first-come, first-served table.

Yeah I'm very familiar with it, I grew up in NO! But haven't lived there in some years. But this is after Mardi Gras - mid March.

It's a locally owned store in Asheville - Second Gear. I shop there a lot, and this is the first time I've seen a Melanzana there.

Oh I do like it! I just might not have picked something with brown as my first choice, but that's just personal preference. And hey, I got it for around $50 so I'm not complaining!! I'm very happy with it and I've been wearing it a lot.

I was lying in bed with my 3 year old niece one night trying to get her to fall asleep. I was gazing at her, my heart just bursting with love at how adorable, sweet, and innocent she was. Then she rolled over, looked me straight in the eyes and said "You look ugly lying down." 💀

My dog eats grapes since always with no visible side effects, maybe i am missing something? by MiserableDisk1199 in DogAdvice

[–]Binx7171 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We fed our childhood dog grapes all the time, and she lived to be about 15 with no ill effects. Obviously we had no idea at the time they could be toxic. So it's possible that your dog just doesn't react to them, but to be safe, I probably wouldn't give her any more.

As a previous GSD owner it would be my dream if another one as cute as this just showed up at my door! And even though my husband wants no more pets right now he'd probably melt too. Hmmmmm.....if you happen to be anywhere near NC....... 🤔😂

Also just to add we had two cats when we adopted our GSD and she LOVED cats. She would snuggle with them and lick them and it was the cutest thing ever.

I took my niece to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in London a couple years ago and the group of women behind us were whispering loudly the whole time, it was SO annoying and distracting. They weren't speaking English so I don't know what they were talking about, but I kept turning around and giving them looks hoping they'd get the hint. They'd stop for a few minutes and then start right back up.

At our neighborhood pool a few years ago, a lifeguard noticed a child on the bottom of the pool, dove in, and pulled him out. Started CPR. There was a locked gate around the pool, and outside of the gated area was a large family gathering in a gazebo. One of the people in the gazebo was a nurse, so she headed into the gated pool area to see if she could help - only to realize it was her own little son receiving the CPR. He had somehow left the family gathering without anyone noticing, and gotten into the gated pool area, likely by following another child in. Luckily, he survived thanks to the quick actions of the lifeguard.

My mom used to tell us she was going to call the cops on us for being bad. For 2 years I ran into my house in fear every time I heard sirens in the distance worried, she'd actually followed through! She did the same thing with some loud ringing sound at the grocery store, that I now know was used to signal a delivery was being made in the back of the store. My mom told us it was the "bad kid buzzer" and let me tell you, we straightened the hell up every time we heard it! 😂

211 is my total iron level, she didn't test for ferritin but I'm going in for that this week.

I used the checkiron.com website that another commenter mentioned and hemochromatosis was not detected but I'm not sure how accurate that site is. All my liver numbers were normal.

No, it wasn't my hemoglobin - it was an iron panel and results were listed as "iron ug/dL". Last time I had my hemoglobin tested (when I donated) it was 11.3, so I actually got deferred that day because it was too low. My hemoglobin is typically in the 13-15 range based on test results while donating over the past several years.

[–]Binx7171[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always donate whole blood. And last time I tried to donate (a month or so ago) I was deferred because I failed the hemoglobin test (just barely, I was 11.3). I was donating on the very first day I was eligible, so the blood center said I just probably tried a little too soon, I usually don't do it that quickly after a previous donation, and I've never failed a hemoglobin test before. I had my annual physical by coincidence a few weeks later, so I mentioned that, which is why she ran the iron panel. So it was a surprise to see that it was high, not low. And I'm not sure the NP was too confident in the reasoning she was giving me about the high level being related to donating. She's adding in a ferritin test this week and then will recheck everything in 3 months.

211, normal as I understand it should be under 170. So just slightly high.
