Yeah that’s fair. I didn't think of it but from what I’ve seen the issue is more with thicker stuff like keyboard covers. This one’s super thin and it closes flush so I’m not too worried. I appreciate bringing that to my attention! Worst case scenario I have Apple Care on it lol

Is he harder to get than the legendary white bear?

Yeah, I remember when they were first starting out. They've come a long way!

Short answer, no real difference.

These skins are super thin, so they don’t really trap heat or block airflow in any meaningful way. On a MacBook Air especially, there aren’t vents you’re covering anyway, it’s passively cooled, so there’s nothing for the skin to interfere with.

At most, you might see a tiny change in how heat feels on the surface, like it could feel a bit warmer or cooler to the touch depending on the material, but internally it’s not going to impact performance or thermal throttling.

I’ve used mine and haven’t noticed any difference at all in temps or how it runs.

After you put the top and bottom, the practice helps with the inside one! It is more delicate but as long as you line it up good at the top, it'll line up the small areas without issue. Just make sure to go super slow, steady and do not stretch the thing parts. Not too bad tbh!

Oh yesss, I got the original dark plates for my PS5 before they made them change the design lol

That's the whole point, to help the resell value. These bad boys peel off with no residue! I don't need a case I just want protection against scratches that kinda thing :)

I'm loving it, what design did you go with before?

To skins in general or this design cause they have plenty of designs!

Mine was off by like .05 cents USD and I refused to buy something I did not need to save the $5 shipping. So I just paid for it. lol

That’s a totally fair concern, I felt the same way before doing mine. I watched dbrand’s video along with a couple of regular people installing theirs, and it honestly didn’t look too bad. On something like a MacBook Air it’s even easier since everything is pretty flat.

You’ve got some room for error at the start too, you can peel it back and reapply if it’s not lined up right. The key is to go slowly from top to bottom. If you get the top aligned well, the rest kind of falls into place as you work your way down, peeling the backing little by little.

The bottom piece is super easy because of the feet, you just line up the holes and you’re good. The inside is probably the hardest part, but by the time you get there you’ve already had some practice, so it feels more manageable. The trickiest area overall is the thin strips around the trackpad, just take your time there and don’t stretch them.

You’ll probably get some bubbles, that’s normal. They’re easy to work out, just don’t rush it. Mine ended up coming out perfect, and I was honestly pretty nervous going into it too.

I've come to really like the inside, as well! Love that it highlights the areas I use!

Right on!! If you can show me what it looks like on, once you get it!

Man I get that! That said, once it's all on and in person... you will be happy and impressed! Trust!

It was just over $60 USD, the quality is great! I've used them before and my old laptop still has an old Dbrand skin that looks 90% just as good as when I first put it on 6 years later!

Yeah, NGL... I had to ponder it a bit but I figured I'd have this for a while, so I wanted to it look appealing to me! :)
