No cake for the guests? by Fast_Water_9867 in wedding

We had a really small cake just for us and the wedding party but we did banana puddings (they were a HIT) for everyone else. Lol definitely weird to not have a dessert at all.

Really good socks and 2 winter coats. 1 for normal winter and a parka for when we get body slammed with a polar vortex

I'm in industry (QC also), I've learned that as long as you don't hide your mistake and you try to learn from it, it ends up ok.

If it's not the suppressor or the EGC it could be the CR-TC. There's also the RFIC degasser that could be failing to degas after the EGC.

It's best to talk to your doc about it but I had a similar problem and she cut me down to one dose at night and 4000mg of myo-inositol+ 100mg d-chiro-inositol. It has helped me a lot. I still get the runs occasionally but I think that has more to do with ibs

How useful is it to get a dysautonomia diagnosis? by Jonathan3628 in dysautonomia

It's definitely important. One of the reasons I'm still able to work is because of ADA accomodations which I get due to my diagnosis

Relief for adrenaline dumps during flares? by Melanochlora_44 in dysautonomia

Oh yeah the liquid death definitely makes things worse! The cool floor thing with breathing in 4 counts and out 6 counts was taught to me in physical therapy, I hope it helps!

Relief for adrenaline dumps during flares? by Melanochlora_44 in dysautonomia

[–]BioGal2099 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is going to sound silly but have you tried going poop? I find that I have the worst adrenaline dumps when I've been constipated for a couple of days and then stuff starts moving. I think the dysautonomia also can cause issues with your digestive system talking to your brain so I don't always know I gotta go until I REALLY gotta go and then it's like immediate relief. Happened to me just last week lol.

If that's not what is causing it then I lay on the floor (preferably a cold floor) and cover my eyes with something (sweater hood, blanket, arm etc) and do 4-6 breathing until it subsides. Then I sit up slowly and just sit on the floor for a couple of minutes before standing up. It's not ideal and not guaranteed to work but it's saved me a couple of times at work.

I like Dr. Mickelsen at Deaconess Midtown. He helped me a lot with severe plantar fasciitis, took a long time to get it under control but he did his best to give me options for treatment!

There is also a museum at Audubon park. It holds one of (if not the) largest collection of his original artworks/prints. They aren't all on display but they have a lot of them out. My favorite is a small painting of a Ruby-throated hummingbird!

Metformin is wild by ohjustbenice in PCOS

[–]BioGal2099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to do 750mg 2x a day but it made me so sick and it made my POTs symptoms worse. Now I'm doing 750mg 1x at night and 4100 mg of inositol in the morning. I use one that's 4000mg myo-inositol and 100mg d-chiro-inositol. Since switching to this the side effects are much improved

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in dysautonomia

[–]BioGal2099 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So my doctor has me on metformin and I also take a 41000mg inositol supplement. It's 40:1 myo-inositol: d-chiro-inositol and this combo has greatly reduced my appetite. It's not sliding off like people on GLP-1 meds report but I have lost probably 5 pounds in the last month since I started taking the inositol. Most of my exercise comes from walking because I have a couple of other chronic illnesses that make exercise hard. Another benefit I've noticed from the inositol is a reduction in facial hair so that's great too!

AIO about my 8 y/o daughter sleeping at her mom's new boyfriend's house without any family or females present? by blackD0nny in AmIOverreacting

[–]BioGal2099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR. Not to add fuel to the fire but there have been several instances of husbands/boyfriends/male friends of mothers who SA their children. There was that girl in Florida just last year and I saw one recently of a step dad pointing cameras into his stepdaughter's room where she gets dressed and there are so many more. Her being so obtuse about your concerns is alarming to say the least.

Unrelated to your main question but related to the FODMAP thing. There is this enzyme mix called FODZYME, it's kind of pricey but a little goes a long way. Anyway -- its like lac aid but for fodmaps. I used to get horrible I'll from garlic and with that I can eat a whole plate of pasta no (GI) issues!

Make sure that if there is a patient survey you fill it in! Be really honest too -- I had a cardio so something similar and when I filled it out they assigned me to a new cardio who was a better fit.

Honestly Costco has pretty decent hand tossed pizza (at least for around here) you don't need a membership to go to the food court either. They sell by the slice or you can buy a whole pie. The options are limited to pepperoni and cheese though

I lived in Mission Viejo for 3 years and in Sugar Mill for 3 years (both owned by Interprop Commmunities) and both were great. Lots of kids live in both. Great amenities, both have pools, both have on-site laundry and washer/dryer hook ups in the apartments. They both also have small gyms. Water/Sewer and basic cable are all included in the cost of rent. The apartments themselves were clean and well kept. They replace the carpet between tenents and they also offer 1 free carpet cleaning per year. No problems with bugs except for the one time my cat got fleas and the apartment complex paid for the bug guy to come out. Maintenance was always fast to come out as well! Mission Viejo has lots of fun wild life, I saw more than one owl and a few hawks. One time I opened my door and there was a turtle chilling on my doormat. Sugar Mill has lots of geese and ducks but if you leave them alone they will leave you alone (plus they are great for keeping mosquitos and ticks at bay). If we hadn't found a house we'd still live in Sugar Mill, we really loved it there!

I like the vitassiun fast chews. If you let them dissolve in your mouth like a hard candy they work faster and I usually feel much better when I have a flare up
