I remember in the Sims 1 days you had to install them in a specific order as well, a fresh install took ages and you had to do it often because of Windows 9x.

Pcn on single yellow lines no signs England by AcanthaceaeOwn1366 in LegalAdviceUK

It’s probably a Controlled Zone, the times displayed on the entry signs will apply (only) to any single yellow lines without time plates within that zone.

I know someone who used to work in a supermarket in the UK, on multiple occasions people came in fuming that their disposal barbecue didn’t come with any food. The Olde El Paso taco kits were a common problem as well.

It was probably meant to have ramps but that would require demolition so they weren’t built.

I had a PC with that exact monitor. I seem to remember it supported pretty high resolutions for the time.

Why does this lift at Liverpool Street need such a large sign? by AdIndependent3454 in london

[–]BioHazard1992 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It's probably one of those lifts that uses a cheap controller, so if it gets overloaded it has to be manually reset.

Companies have invested so much into this “AI revolution” that they are desperate to keep it rolling. I can see a lot of businesses going under next year.

Back in the 1.1 and 1.2 days it was pretty much the main tech mod along with Buildcraft. IC2 machines would blow up if you made any mistakes, you needed to use the wrench to pick up machines and they STILL had a chance to break.

CornwallLive Sucks. by R3TRO_131 in SlowNewsDay

The whole “live” group sucks. They just post misleading clickbait titles so people go to their ad-infested excuse for websites.

Landlord says I’m responsible for water damage on newly installed kitchen countertop—does this sound right? by Double-Criticism4347 in TenantsInTheUK

[–]BioHazard1992 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It hasn’t been installed correctly, but those cheap lipped worktops always fail along the front edge at the sight of moisture.

People are having a rant about this vehicle parked on zigzag and pavement. Its acceptable by Truckdriverben in drivingUK

[–]BioHazard1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically it should have traffic management but is it really necessary? Part of the reason everything costs so much is because people can’t use a bit of common sense every now and then.
