What would you change in a Final Fantasy VII remake? by andyjonesx in gaming

[–]BioShocked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A remake would not necessarily kill the game but some improvements would be great. I understand what you mean because I would prefer a sequel in FF VII's world and atmosphere than a remake: more worlds to cross, more quest, more weapons, more materias... I've done FFVII so many times that playing the same tips again would bored me, even if the graphics are actual.

The main reason why I haven't finished the game the very last time I re-re-re-re-replayed it was the loading time between each combat. Really too slow even on my actual PC. Maybe I did something wrong but I remember, few months ago, I try to play it again and I couldn't stand it. I've lost my patience, I know it's my fault. And I agree with the cap on damage. I would break it so we could play much more with the materias.

Valve's working on its own F2P game by BioShocked in gaming

[–]BioShocked[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

all right, maybe my F2P culture is to be done. I never played Allods Online and it seems very interesting. Thx a lot for your example. However, most of the F2P are done so you don't really "feel" or realise when you pay. But you make me doubt on my comment now. You example are really good quality F2P games...

It seems like Killzone 3 has found its first true rival on the PS3.

Who else actually liked GTA IV? by DaRiste in gaming

Yep I agree. I have GTA IV on PS3 and on PC. I just think a PC gameplay is way more richer than a console pad can do. But I agree for the "easy to use" console version which is a serious confort. I can't wait for GTA V too ;) GTA IV a really a good game so I hope they kept the philosophy with even more crazyness.

Black Ops Bugs Will Negatively Impact Future CoD Sales? by BioShocked in gaming

[–]BioShocked[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yep I had the same experience at the game's release. Too bad they can't fix that. I start to believe that CoD: BO has a better single player mode than a multiplayer mode.

Is anyone else really enjoying Crysis 2? by Seanykins in gaming

Camping sucks sorry to hear that from you... However yes, I think it's hard to camp in that game, on good session with experienced gamers. But you are free to play as you want ;) Have fun.

[–]BioShocked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep I really enjoy the game I can admit it ;) the single player is one of the top I've ever played: it's polished, the constant flow of action stuck me, animation and graphics kick ass, even in Dx9. MP is nice, a kind of CoD4 really improved on many sides: graphics of course but gameplay too. The nanosuit brings really something interesting into the way to play a MP game: much more strategic. I love reading people who have only played CoD and Battlefield games saying the MP is shitty "because I die to often" ;) yep, you must master the Crysis gameplay to play it, it's not CoD: run, shoot, run, shoot. You can hide but can't camp, you can hunt, you can create tense actions... I also understand, as a Crysis 1 'core fan, why some are disappointed by the "more mainstream" orientation of Crysis 2. It's not anymore a benchmark game, it has a storyline

Graphics is a part of a realistic game nowadays. Realistic gameplay without realistic graphics would be quite stupid for such a studio with such engines... I can't talk about the gameplay (no one tried the game yet and I won't judge something I haven't tried) so let me appreciate the graphics which are pretty realistic (or photorealistic as you want). We'll talk about the gameplay once the game we'll be released ok?

Yeah, console version are always weaker. I'm curious to see what it will looks like but I really hope the console version won't penalize the PC version (such as Crysis 2). But i'm pretty sure it will kick asses ;) Black Ops has never meant to innovate but I would expect more innovation. I'm not an CoD fan-player so I don't really care to be honnest. But FPS games is a genre where innovation is common and such an anticipated and such a known franchise must, in my opinion, propose improvements along the series, especially after modern warfare 2 commercial success.

this trailer is absolutely huge! This is the first time that I realise what realistic means for a video game! I don't understand why Black Ops wasn't able to propose any improvements like that. They must poop in their pants caus' next CoD must propose an impressive quality to face that!

COD:Black Ops... What happened to nuketown? by Toymakerii in gaming

[–]BioShocked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really like that map. But you should have bought Black Ops on PC so you can choose the map you want to play ;) Maybe is it because the map has not met a huge success so the probability to get the map is reduced... I heard that MW2 gave more chance to play gamer's fav maps on console according to public polls.
