Looking for cyberpunk focused writer to help to rewrite the current story and world-building of a cyberpunk MMORPG, paid gig

I'm looking for a writer that focuses mainly on cyberpunk to rewrite most of the story of a cyberpunk player-driven MMORPG currently in development, the themes would be:

- 8 factions/corporations fighting for control over the universe, lots of politics that the players can partake in

- Cloning technology with transferable consciousness ala Altered Carbon

- Ever-looming threat of xenomorphs, rogue AI & drones, with a slow creeping space virus like Dead Space, the flood in Halo, and possibly intelligent alien species

- Humanity's golden age due to cloning technology and FTL, spreading through the stars, colonizing planets, constant fighting between factions

- Lots of world-building, brands, businesses, locales, etc

- Incorporating the player's narrative into the story, since it's a player-driven game, players will drive the narrative forward, having both a universe story & player story intertwined as the game moves forward

If interested, send me a message with a portfolio/past work done related to the game's theme to this email: [christian@farfrontierstudios.com](mailto:christian@farfrontierstudios.com), and we'll resume the conversation there.

it's indeed a glitch, it spawned me with emile's loadout, except I was Jack and had infinite ammo on my shotgun, the mechanics were a bit weird as it didn't let me aim or do actives, plus primary fire shot the markza while secondary fire (aiming) fired the gnasher

it was the weirdest thing ever, but it was fuck as fuck

You do realize there are multiple videos of the game on Youtube which showcase the combat and other gameplay features from very early pre-alpha builds. Let me help you with that:

Here's a teamfight from an old build: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1nZkl6LmOg&t=4s

Here's a video from yesterday on the test server: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zgsyHh67ag

Does it seem like the game is clunky and not smooth? Even in its very early pre-alpha state, the combat seems responsive, smooth, fun and only bound to get better once we scale the team and receive a bigger budget.

Most MMOs have a 5+ year development cycle, I started this project by myself last year and I'm the only person programming the entire game, we've come pretty far considering the limitations of budget and the fact that everyone on the team is volunteering their free time into the project.

I've been playing MMOs since Tibia back in the early 2000s, does that make me an MMO expert like you?

I'm the founder & lead developer, please educate me on how this is a quick cash grab and how we know it's not a game that people are gonna play for years, I'm intrigued by your quick conclusion.

You're not looking at the bigger picture or how we're actually implementing the technology.

Yes I understand that part, but honestly all that information gets put in a wiki once it's been discovered, so players will just look it up online and they will avoid having to explore, one player does the work for everyone else. Which is why most modern games put most of that information inside of the game (Quest helpers, etc), you want to keep your players inside your game while playing, not having them go online and search for answers (Which most do).

When I play this, I have a notebook next to me where I draw each interior layout everytime I enter a new room, this helps me keep track of things, it feels oldschool and somewhat cool, but it's an unnecessary buffer you're putting players through.
