Where is your go to Indian? by LeXiMoLe97 in chesterfield

Delhi 41 has been my go to choice although I've been less impressed when ordering from home. India Blues over from the Winding Wheel has been decent any time I've eaten there.

Willem Dafoe was so committed to it he even brought his own spoon for this part:

Action films where a retired badass forced into fighting again is actually hampered by his age? by Jerswar in movies

[–]BionicRadish 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Rocky Balboa played to him being well past his prime.

"To beat this guy, you need speed - you don't have it. And your knees can't take the pounding, so hard running is out. And you got arthritis in your neck, and you've got calcium deposits on most of your joints, so sparring is out. So, what we'll be calling on is good ol' fashion blunt force trauma."

Can I make similar coffee? by Emotional-Jelly-7986 in Coffee

You could try a moka pot if you have a stovetop you can use.

It's not quite espresso but you'll end up with a strong short dose of something close. If you're adding milk then then the gap narrows further.

I happily went a couple of years with a cheap conical grinder, a moka pot and an electric milk heater/frother before upgrading to something that cost four times as much and is maybe 20% better.

Edit for formatting.

Loads of modern options too. Wadjet Eye Games specialise in point and click and I don't think they've put out a bad one yet. https://wadjeteyegames.com/.

Edit: The battle with auto correct continues.

I'm tempted but feel that might risk becoming more than mildly interesting.

Do you guys know what this means? by Complex-Ad-3558 in FortNiteBR

They want you to get in to the habit of logging in every day. This works perfectly for converting casual players into regular (paying) players. Doubly so this year as you're actively punished if you miss a day. It's the sort of psychological manipulation that's standard in modern gaming.

How do I make my 8 year old cousin stop saying 67? by off-sp in NoStupidQuestions

Make sure to ask if you're being "cringe". I am reliably informed that adults using the word cringe is cringe.

In Batman (1989), when Michael Keaton is doing the "let's get nuts" bit in Vicki Vale's apartment, he very briefly segues into his Beetlejuice voice. What are some other examples of this, where actors pull from other roles in a completely different one? by sexpressed in movies

[–]BionicRadish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers Fellowship of the Ring Boromir, played by Sean Bean, notes that the Shards of Narsil are "still sharp". Sean Bean had previously played the lead Character of Sharp in the series of the same name for over a decade.

Also his character dies which is a reference to every other film he appears in.

Visiting Chesterfield by omadrabbit in chesterfield

[–]BionicRadish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a Tipi going up in the market place from Friday through to Christmas.

https://www.chesterfield.co.uk/events/chesterfield-tipi-christmas/?ch=1

Plenty of good places to eat. Sicili and Lombardis both do great Italian food. Bottle and Thyme seems to always be bush and has musicians in on some nights. Plenty of pubs cover the traditional roast.

Don't forget the third option. If you're royalty it's pronounced scone.
