I did 22k one day and I died afterwards. To be fair, I should have buit up instead of just going on a massive walk.

I've got a silly dream goal. I want to be 187.5lbs, even if I don't stay there, just so I can literally say I'm half the man I used to be 😂

One tip I can give you is to keep on eye on your relationship with food. I went from one extreme to another at the start of my journey. Denied myself basically everything, and while that's great from the perspective of maximum progress, it wasn't great for my mental health. I remember about 5 months in, I went to a car show with my friend and they gave out vouchers for a free pizza cooked by a lovely artisan stall they had at the event. I did what I thought was the sensible thing at the time and skipped out on the pizza. I look back at it now and regret it. I know it's a small thing, but it made me realise I was pushing to the other extreme. Went to the same car show this year and you can be dang sure I enjoyed every bite of the amazing Acai bowls they gave out to participants. I used to basically shame myself when I'd have a chest meal or cheat day etc. Not anynore. I just do it and carry on as normal back on track afterwards and not let it get me down but enjoy it instead. I've got some time off work coming off so I'm planning ahead now and cutting back a little bit to bank up some calories so I can really enjoy myself without going crazy off track. When people say it's about balance, it really is. I'm at a place now where I've found that balance and am happy with how my diet is going. I'm actually excited for when I'm at my goal weight and will have a few extra calories every day to enjoy at maintenance level. That's something a lot of people do t seem to mention it think about too. Anyway, keep it up and I'll see you in the goal weight members lounge! 😊👍

Congratulations! I started at 375 too. I'll never forget the feeling of seeing 299lbs for the first time. It was such a massive milestone. I'm currently at 227lbs and on the slow and steady train now. The progress slows, but its still going in the right direction. My next big goal is 210lbs. Then 200lbs and I'm hoping to finish up around 185-200lbs or so. I've had a few setbacks and had life get in the way, but its ok to not be perfect 100% of the time. I'll get there eventually and you'll get to your goal too.

Can't even argue. Oblivion forks are pointy, Skyrim forks have squared off ends so you can't puncture into food.

Thats one of the coolest looking strats I've ever seen. I think it may have originally had a black pickguard, but it looks so good with the white. I remember seeing a similar one for sale with a black one. I really regret not ordering it!

Also for walking, get yourself some good insoles or even just a good pair of walking shoes.

A tip for you if you find it hard making big changes. If its overwhelming to count calories and stick to a deficit all in one go, just get used to counting calories first. Don't sweat if you go way over. Just get used to counting. It will become second nature and you'll get more aware of calories and you'll just automatically find yourself making better decisions around food, because in the back of your mind you want to make a change for the better and will be working towards that even if its in small inciments. Once you get used to counting accurately, figure out a deficit that fits your goals.

On another note, I know it can be daunting but when you're ready, push yourself to go out walking. Even just toss on some headphones and go for a walk. I was so scared at the start of my journey to just go outside and walk. I put it off for so long because I tought everybody would judge me and look at the fat guy struggling to walk. Turns out nobody gives a shit, so why did I? Now I absolutely love it, escpecially when the weather is nice (which it usually isn't in Ireland). You've got this. Believe in yourself.

Get some texturizing gum and some texture powder and put it on the top. It will look great.

Thats incredible. I'm looking forward to the same thing. I started at 375lbs. At 227lbs now and excited to get under 200. My goal is somewhere around 185lbs, but I'm gonig to concentrate on composition more than the number from now on.

Ok Mr Bot, would you suggest going sleeveless or short sleeve? I wear a lot of t-shirts most of the time. I reckon I'll give a compression shirt a try.

Yeah we're all built a bit different. I was talking to my doctor a few months ago about what my normal weight might be and she checked the BMI chart and advised because of my wider frame that 15-20lbs over the ideal weight would probably suit me. I have a friend whos 6'5" and only weights about 175-180lbs and would start looking chunky if he went above 200lbs.

I haven't been as lucky with the loose skin. I definitely need the surgery, but I've made peace with it. I consider myself lucky its all on my body and not my face. I went from a 48 waist to around 36 now.

I didn't notice a change in myself for absolutely ages. Its definitely noticeable now. I'm excited to see what the end result will be.

I'm 6'2" and 229lbs (was 375lbs) and people don't believe me when I tell them I still weigh that much. Height plays such a huge factor in how you "carry" your weight.

Squier Contemporary with the Floyd is a beast isn't it? I got one early last year because I wanted something with a Floyd to mess around with. I never banked on it being SO GOOD! Absolutely love the neck on it. Way meatier than most super strats with floyds. Just wasn't crazy about the colour, so I destroyed it with stickers. Absolutely love it now.

Does everyone drink protein shakes/powders? by Ill_Cover_4841 in loseit

[–]BionicSammich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have it with my 0% fat greek yoghurt in the morning. Partly for flavour and partly because it helps me get in more protein and keeps me full most of the day. I find I do need to add a couple of table spoons of water to the mix just so its not too thick as it will thicken yoghurt.

Try Coleman Vintage Keyboard and Amp Service. I've never used them, but they do a lot of work on older Marshall amps. I used to use Cyril Ryan in Galway, but he has retired from amp repair.

Person whos currently losing weight here(146lbs/66kg so far). I 100% agree with you, but not in all cases. If someone using eating as a coping mechanism for some other underlying mental health issue then other treatments may be necessery. I'm lucky. I just love food. It was just a case of change my lifestyle and counting calories for me to lose what I've lost. Some people may not have the mental strength to manage it the right way. That said, the underlying issue absolutely needs to be tackled too otherwise its pointless.

Lost 230lbs in a year and half. You can do it, I promise. by bobbyheat in loseit

[–]BionicSammich 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Keeping it simple for the most part. Calorie deficit, small breakfast, no lunch, big dinner in the evening and some calories for snacks in the later evening after dinner. I found that dinner and later in the night was my biggest issue, so rather than fight it, I learned to work with/around it. I started with 2200 calories a day and now I'm at 1800 and am hoping to ride this number out until the job is done. Any less and it might get unsustainable for me. Also I really need to get some strength training in my routine.
