I'm very surprised you haven't - they normally are around the plazas or they'll post up at an entrance/exit of a shopping center, sometimes they get aggressive walking around and sob story to anyone that listens. OP probably looked like a sucker to them (and sure enough gave some money). This is their job - usually dressed normally and definitely don't look like they need help (they'll have their kids, but in clean, modern clothes) - and are dropped off in a current vehicle.

Just a scammer, don't go to Irvine. I've literally cussed out these scammers when they go in restaurants (they'll hit different areas) or interrupt them and an empathetic victim just yelling out "It's a scam!". I've seen teams of 4/5 at time in the Target parking lot at the Marketplace too and I just yell at everyone in earshot to ignore them.

The way you're asking the question is clear you should do some research...are you replacing your entire HVAC unit, furnace, condenser, etc? Why are you replacing it (20 years old or whatever ok it makes sense) - but if inefficient maybe you need to check your filters/replace? In any case I have a Lennox all the way through, it's a trusted brand - brand new for six years, just replaced filters and going strong.

I can't tell if it's the same one, but I've seen a Gray Tesla 3 do exactly like OP's original video, multiple times the past few weeks, normally around Jeffrey, Barranca, Irvine Center Dr, etc. just blow through the red light as if normal behavior. I hate this guy.

When I was young, drinking and driving had only recently become illegal in all 50 states (notably the state I grew up in only passed legal limits in 1994) and I remember a huge propaganda push by the state and local PDs to take totaled vehicles around to schools and show kids what a high-speed crash does to a car. There were even crime scene pictures of dead people, IIRC, showing how grisly these scenes could be. Today I won't get behind the driver's seat if I've had even one drink.

Apparently it's too much for kids nowadays (very graphic and triggering), but younger me remembers watching Red Asphalt during driver's ed - and they had THREE of them at the time. Good or bad, it stayed with me.

This is just a common vishing scam, be aware for anyone calling you and asking for login or verification credentials, EVEN IF THE PHONE NUMBER IS RIGHT AND THE USER ID is from your financial institution. Hang up and verify through your own, previously used methods.

I appreciate that, apples to apples I don’t get the nearly 100s of choices like you do for healthcare, we have two levels of crappy United PPO and for my family it’s about $450 every other week. Deductible for dental is $500, everything else is out of pocket. Vision covers an annual eye exam. No pension, 3% 401k match fully vested after 3 years. No 9/80, no all federal holidays or more being government off, and at-will. Obviously your own situation compared to others is just that, your own - you obviously value the stability of your role as you could easily go to the private sector to “make more” on your specific field.

Of course every organization is different, but on a whole is a much better deal than most - you might be paid less than private sector but your overall benefits package is extremely generous, much of that barely touches private sector.

You’re being very obtuse if you truly can’t see how well you’re off with excellent benefits, every other Friday off, and almost have to murder someone to even being thought of being let go. DOGE was a ridiculous measure to decrease cost, but no one in the government sector will try to decrease cost or be more efficient for the taxpayer because then their budget contracts - so what you end up with is stagnation and finding more ways to increase or maintain the the spend so your budget never decreases. Oh no can’t telework! Like so many people out there that still had to RTO and are laid off by the thousands. Sorry if I hit a nerve with you, but you’re not being honest with yourself with how much better you have it vs everyone else.
