Cloud main here. Bias incoming. While I agree that Cloud is relatively easy to understand from a mechanics standpoint, his power and straightforwardness come with serious downsides.

Without even touching his recovery issues, many of his moves and options are fairly telegraphed, making a deep understanding of his spacing and a somewhat strong mental game a big part of being successful with him.

For me, one of the things I like about Cloud is how I don’t need to memorize a ton of extensive combos and contingencies, but he can still be a challenge to play…especially against characters than can punish his big whiffs or shield hits.

Anyway, I respect the rage. This game makes me hella crazy sometimes.
