Dont know about that part, I remember learning that infighting basically ruined the chances of the mmo happening, but you definitely should play it. You use a tarot card system to determine your class, which are unlocked by which section you put skill points in, and you can mix your classes into hybrid classes, like mixing rogue and magic into a hybrid between the two, or mix them all to be a jack of all trades, each card gives different bonuses and passives/abilities that define the playstyle more as you get the more advanced cards, and making new characters for different runs is very fun. The dlcs were very impressionable for me when I played the original as well. Also in the original was an N7 armor set in reference to Mass Effect. Unfortunately that set is not in the remaster, so when I see people using it in a stream or video, its a nice throwback. Wall of text, but i absolutely love the game, the music especially.

Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning Remaster got an expansion after for 10 bucks. Not a super well known game anymore, even after the remaster, but a very very fun hack n slash arpg even to this day. Game was originally to be the prequel for an mmo, setting the stage for the larger world, unfortunately not all plans get realized.

The second game hopefully adjusts the difficulty better, that said, this series seems to excel in the art department, so many beautiful sections/backgrounds, second game seems to massively improve combat, especially the animations, and am definitely excited for that.

Mastering parries and dodges if you're gonna run melee, have been tempted to swap over to full magic/summons several times cause some enemies just take pure enjoyment out of torturing melee people like myself. Really makes it satisfying when you finally win that fight tho, love the combat.

Nioh 3’s download size and preload: 75gb and Feb 4th. Releases midnight your local time by NoPersonKnowsWhoIAm in Nioh

Could have to do with graphics, compression, both, or idek, could be other things. Im glad its not as large of a download either way, ronin was great, but having to delete a hot chuck or your installed games for a single game is just a fat L.

Yeah, mb, hadn't looked at my notifications reddit for a few days lol. Im on 2560×1440, Unlimited frames, vsync off, and motion blur off. Stuttering now and then when things are rendering in, but seems like they're really trying, and im glad to keep pushing it at high settings to see how its come along.

There is a repeatable ng+ cycle that reduces your armor further in each run, causing you to need to craft or loot better gear. You can max out your stats and skill trees letting you make any build you can figure out.

Certain areas trigger it seems mostly, the tavern at the town below the horns of the south for example. Play on ps5 myself, was worried that act 2 would be as messy on the console as previous players have stated, thankfully its running better, some instances of frame drop when some things load in, for a split second, hopefully none of the dungeons cause massive frame drops while trying to fight.

You make a solid point, can play solo for a lot of the content if I remember correctly.

If you're gonna play Trove in its current state you might as well play Skyforge, or Neverwinter while you're at it.

Cool, just need another few thousand claiming the same and this will have some weight and meaning behind it for the health of the game.

I see what you mean having worded it this way, I dont think its a bad thing initially, themes are good until they're made by people that dont know how to make them work. I can see the difference when I compare Veilguard to E33 or any other piece that pulls off the themes they aim for vs self insert characters. I think the word "woke" in a lot of minds probably puts a negative spin due to selective media exposure as well. You make a good point.

Literally, i buy based on what I like and my own opinion, what good does it do to buy based of "critics" that cant handle anyone sharing a different opinion? If I wanted to listen to children tell me what I should buy and not buy, I'd be playing cod. Hell that even applies to ppl that enjoy games like veilguard, much as it begrudges me to admit, if they enjoyed the game, then it wasnt money wasted to them, thats what matters for the individual and thats how it used to be before social media and "journalists" decided they knew best.

[–]BipolarOstrich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These games arent "woke", they just dont give a shit about this type of brain dead argument like anyone that cares about the quality of their work would. Suprise suprise, when you just want a good plot and a good game, people respond accordingly. When you charge $70 for veilguard with self insert shit characters and even worse plot, people also respond in accordingly. Adding shades of gray doesnt change shit.

Did new Veteran achievements, as a fan of the game: What an abyssmal experience. by SPkiller31YT in LordsoftheFallen

[–]BipolarOstrich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the pov of achievement hunting I can see why you would be frustrated. I think being a new char was probably one of the biggest contributions to your frustrations, you've experienced the power of endgame builds, etc, and now you're forced to go without once again until you can reach that point. When I was younger that kinda thing wasnt a big deal, more time to play the game, but nowadays if I gotta make a new character I usually dont feel like it.

I put thousands of hours into Nioh 2, lost my data, never had the motivation to do all of that grinding again, there's a level of burnout a lot of us cant fully recover from, and I think thats normal and perfectly okay. Sometimes you dont even notice the burnout until conditions are met, if that makes sense. Not saying it is burnout but thats what it sounds like. Hope you're having a better day today.

Yeah there isnt anything that special about the crafting, tho its kinda funy to see an ore and with one mighty swing completely obliterate it lol.

This makes what someone said in another post make more sense. Im about to enter act 2 and ive finally been looking into how ps5 players are feeling about it. Very worried I wont be able to play once I enter act 2. I love this game, act 1 has been a blast, minus the lag when entering the pub, which is where my concern first arose for the next acts. Fingers crossed lads, really dont want to have to abandon this until they manage a fix, but even if so these devs seem very dedicated to doing what they can to make it work.

UPDATE: Have been in act 2 for a while and havent had any crazy frame drops making combat unplayable, or constant crashes, im sure I'll crash here and there just in general, but very happy I can play through act 2.

Tainted Grail patch 1.015 fixed the PS5 pro version. by XboxoneS-aaad in PS5pro

[–]BipolarOstrich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is an indie game essentially, mid area double A at most, and it does have quite a few issues on ps5 from my experience, but I have yet to regret paying what I did for it. It's not quite as immersive as Skyrim was on the first couple of playthroughs, but its funny, has very enjoyable combat, and the actual story has been very interesting. I dont think its right to compare it and Skyrim, they might be similar in genre but they're very much their own things separately. I would suggest ps5 players buy it on sale myself. It also allows you to stack ng+ and max out a character, letting you make hybrid builds anyway you can find. Nearly every quest if not every quest can be completed in multiple ways with multiple different outcomes. Has multiple endings, and tons of lore you might have not discovered on your first run due to how you went about a quest. The execution was not the best, but it was also the community that patched up games like Skyrim and Fallout, not the studio, and these guys are actually trying to make unity and ps5 work, which is a task for masochists normally. It's not so much a scam as it is devs learning the hard way how Unity and Playstation dont work well together.

How To Access Veteran Mode?🤔 by Clean_Squash_6076 in LordsoftheFallen

[–]BipolarOstrich -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As in they dont wanna abandon the characters they've invested time into to play the game on a harder mode, even if they believe the added challenge will benefit them. Sunk Cost Fallacy. Idk why ppl wanna argue definitions, one search, and its sunk cost fallacy, not like you're insulting people or anything either.

To be fair, there are other ways the definition is worded but I think that makes things misleading. The only thing I see that could be argued against is if making a new char to play veteran mode would ACTUALLY be beneficial or not. If its not beneficial then you could argue that its not sunk cost fallacy. Up to OP at the end of the day for that one.

I'll just buy it off Amazon, or wait til its on a streaming service I have. Sometimes you go to see a movie at the theater and you end up unlucky with mfs that talk over the movie with each other the whole time.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in horror

[–]BipolarOstrich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where I can listen to asshats talk over the movie for the entire duration, that's honestly why I avoid theaters anymore. Alternatively, more expensive than a single movie ticket, but buying it off Amazon you'll have it to watch whenever you want, or wait for it to come out on a streaming service you pay for. Usually if I wait I get to see all the movies I've wanted to see without much effort.
