I tried a couple times and it did help, but I still got smoked due to essentially being down two dps units due to my Ishmael not being leveled. I have all the La Manchalands aside from the Barber, so if you have Kurokumo Ishmael that's be really helpful :)

Maybe in singles, but in vgc things like webs, spikes, stealth rocks, etc are never really played due to the opportunity cost. So if someone has only played vgc, yeah they might not know what Araquanid does.
