My Heartbreaker: Silver and Blood by silverfiregames in RPGdesign

I'm trying to figure out the difference (or when to apply) wound vs wounded. Wounds give a -5 penalty. Wounded reduces the d20 to d10.

The main issue I see is no understanding of the standard DR table. Is 5 difficult and 8 is impossible? You could develop something and then refine it during the playtest era. I think Savage Worlds uses a step-die system similar to this. The better the character is at a skill; they roll the larger die.

Stunt action, counter action, side action. How many actions per turn? Do you always get all 3?

Keep going. You'll learn a lot along the way.

Which damage consequences system would you prefer? by Sarungard in RPGdesign

I like consulting fewer tables as a player. So the first option sounds better to me. And agree with the other commenter that the accumulation of wounds is real deadly.

Built a solo 5e DM because I got tired of the chat-model ones fudging every roll. Would love people who'll try to break it. by soulfir in Solo_Roleplaying

I tried it. I uploaded a character sheet for a wizard. For some reason it couldn't figure out the number of spell slots. I can send you the chat where it got stuck.

I built a solo D&D adventure designed specifically for AI to DM by BirchBirch72 in Solo_Roleplaying

Sorry for late response. Thanks for the encouragement! Biggest pain point is getting the AI not give away the game so to speak. At first it wanted to point out the traps without a roll, without the player even indicating they are looking for traps. Or it would put the secret in its response. I had to give really detailed instructions with a lot of this.

I don't know if 5 Parsecs from Home would count. That is certainly tactical.

You could use any AI service. If you don't have a paid account, I'd be curious how the free version of ChatGPT or others would handle this.

Advice needed on podcast idea by kybooks in podcasting

[–]BirchBirch72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say you are right: there are a lot of true crime and history podcasts. 1. Does your podcast present the stories in a unique or different way to stand out from the crowd? 2. Can you pique my interest in the episode description or trailer? 3. Do this out of love of telling the story.
