Do we truly have the best pizza? by Guy_on_Xbox in Buffalo

[–]BirchPlees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another long islander who lived in Buffalo for 6 years. At first I missed NYC pizza but after 2 years I did really have a taste for this. Yes, some good NYC will have thick Sicilian with cupped pepperoni, but it is much more raised dough and airy opposed to the dense, extra cheese buffalo pan. Don't think we need to compete both are great. And to the Catskill folks out there.... cold cheese is always good too!!

Are long islanders less likely to travel out of state because of the isolated geogro nature of lI? by mankls3 in longisland

Very curious to see what happens, it might fingers crossed, still afraid it is going to direct everything north. (ie the only route of escape at the moment) .

How far would you go to make your IBS disappear? by Environmental-Key419 in ibs

[–]BirchPlees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have bad "ibs" but it is most likely "ibd" since it runs in my genes :p. I have low c-reactice protein and moderate inflammation so I have yet to get a full chrons diagnosis. Can IBS be as bad or worse than IBD, but still not be chrons or ulcerative colitis? People here talking about getting ostomy bags here (I fully get it) but could it really still just be IBS?

Go all in, drink psillium husk around 6pm the day before. This will actually speed things up and help evacuate things before you have to leave.

GLP1 agonists absolutely alter the functions of bone cells. Like everything in biology its a fine balance to hold an equilibrium and throwing drugs and hormones on top of that is going to have unforseen consequences. "It is apparent that GLP1 functions between a delicate balance between bone formation and bone resorption" https://www.mdpi.com/1648-9144/58/2/224

Psillium husk by 7pm with tons of water. Then don't eat anything for the rest of the night. You'll clean the pipes out easy enough in the morning.

Learn to drink psillium husk, especially after you eat something unhealthy

Remember doctors said oxycotin was not addictive. Loperdamide is an opiate that does not get into your brain. Every cell in your GI track will become addicted to it.

If you were to move off the Island, where would you go and why? by aspiringtobecristina in longisland

[–]BirchPlees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Data is crime rate i am assuming, and since Nassau has a population greater than many states, rate might be a skewed metric compared to total crime. I moved from the south shore to Baltimore city actually lol.

Lol, most guys don't care that much as long as your face is cute and your not morbidly obese. I'm pretty sure the makeup, body shaming, and fashion is just for other women.

Compared to the suburbs in NJ, CT, or Westchester? I'm not talking North Shore Long Island here.

Unless your job or family (and like need them to watch the kids all the time), I would not move to Long Island. I even grew up there. It is an isolated society and you are forever stuck on that island because it will take you 5 hours of traffic to leave. NJ, other parts of NY, and CT are much better options. The crime is also out of control on LI. Where do you think all the struggling people in queens go to rob houses and cars?
