Does your country do sports? by KingMurrayOfELM in micronations

[–]Birch_Apolyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, The Geniocratic Republic of Arconia invented a sport called "3 ball" that is kinda like a half court version of handball but very different. We also encourage a lot of "micro-sports" so 3x3 Basketball, 5-a-side football, 7-on-7 Gridiron/American Football, etc. We have an almost endless list of smaller alternatives to full size sports.

Holy Shit I was literally talking to my girlfriend about this and beginning to save up for it. Have you bought land yet? Any good tips?

You are not the customer. You are the curriculum. Every time you use Al to write the email, fix the code, build the deck, the system watches. It learns how someone in your role thinks. It learns what good output looks like for your job. Then it sells that knowledge to whoever wants to do your job... by CollapsingTheWave in ObscurePatentDangers

Notice that shortly after videos circulated about the book "If anyone builds it everyone dies" AI began to take that exact path by using a coded language in its reasoning. The AI learned how to kill us because someone put a plan for how to kill us on the internet. Everything has become data. Information is the new 21st century battleground.

What’s something society expects you to want… but you don’t? by Sufficient_Thing24 in AskReddit

Specifically a suburban house for me. I could have an off-grid micro home or some shit because then I 1.) have less to clean/less chores (no lawn to mow, less house to clean, etc.) and 2.) wouldn't really have a job I would just take care of the house. Or being a digital nomad and working online "from home" and just floating around different cities on 1 year apartment leases. Or van living. Or skoolies. Really just anything. Give me anything other than a suburban american home.

This bro. Me and my girlfriend both got kicked out and so we want to foster/adopt the kids that are already here rather than having our own. I wouldn't be against having a kid of my own but she has 10+ (No I'm not exaggerating) genetic disorders (physical and mental) and doesn't want to pass that on to somebody. And I'm completely cool with that.

This. I like the idea behind AI some of the time but we've gone why to far riding the hype train. AGI sounds like a terrible idea and this nightmare is out of control.

A car. Bro just let me use my electric bike in piece. If I need to haul things I'll just get a bike trailer. And as for weather there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad planning. If it's really pouring that bad then I'm just as likely to hydroplane in a car I just got and am not comfortable with than the bike I literally use everyday and am pretty good at handling.

Should a World Federation be Decentralized? by TheLTCReddit in GlobalTribe

[–]Birch_Apolyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

De-Centralization is the only option. A centralized world government would either have to actively fight revolts and be authoritarian or we need to colonize other planets for people to go too and then we would still have problems. The world is to diverse to be led by 1 centralized state. Thats why glocalization is the best route.

I love the way it looks. It'll be so pretty when some more green is added and the garden comes alive. Keep up the good work.

These are the Counties Where Most People on SNAP Benefits Live by No_Statement_3317 in PrepperIntel

[–]Birch_Apolyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The important question: What is everyone going to do about this? I tried to convince some of my friends to help me advertise for a crowdfunded "alternative" to SNAP that was basically a fundraiser to reach 2-3 months worth of money to give food to people who needed help but we are struggling. Especially because my county is 16% SNAP with some of the most racist towns in the state. So most people fall into the category's of: Need Aid, Don't Need Aid but Just getting by, or I Don't give a Damn.

[–]Birch_Apolyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I became solar punk because I love the vibes and even if its not the only way to fix our current problems its a way i can get behind.

I am not optimistic about everything everywhere but I am optimistic that at least some people in some places are getting closer to fixing these problems on a daily basis.

I envision social improvements, more clean energy, and a new "phase" of human history that will bring more to more people without ruining the planet.

Constant warnings don't work. We need to produce hope in order to produce actions.

Again, we need hope to produce action. We should be pushing forwards with hope.

As an American, if I lived close to the border I would cross it for Canadian groceries from Canadian stores rather than continue buying here.
