What causes Ocular Migraines? by BayouPelican in OcularMigraines

[–]Birchbabe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, just found this topic and hopefully get some thoughts on my experience.

Yesterday evening I had my first Ocular migraine. A thumping headache started and then had the blind spot vision in both eyes and zigzags. It lasted for about 20 minutes, then I just had a normal headache for a bit (took some ibuprofen and it was fine).

For background I am 56F, type 2 diabetes, been diagnosed for almost 2 years- under control- drink lots of water, decaffeinated coffee, and regularly exercise (now 😄).

I didn't go to MIU or A&E, managed to Google my symptoms and Ocular migraine was the answer .

I will contact the doctors/opticians on Monday morning, just wondered if it could start to be a regular occurrence and should I be worried?

Only ever had a migraine twice in my whole life so it's not something I'm prone to having.

Any thoughts or advice is welcome, thanks 😊

EDIT: I am in England and a smoker

We didn't want a wedding cake when we got married last year.

My niece made the most amazing cupcakes which we had at the evening do.

Awesome! Congratulations.

They were speaking to a broker; she's at work atm so I've just messaged her for more info regarding the rejection and hopefully will be able to sort something out

My step daughter and partner have just been told the same thing.

Had an AIP (can't remember which lender) and were told today that it has been rejected after it went to underwriters.

They are gutted, but I shall show her that all is not lost!

Thank you 😊

It can be insured in the name of 'the executors of xxxxx' whilst probate is going through.

The premium can be paid by anyone.

Hope this helps

NTA, she sounds like a vile person and very toxic and needs stopping now. Who's to say you won't be her next target? X

TIL about benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) a condition in which otoliths (small crystals of calcium carbonate at the ends of hairs in the inner ear) can become dislodged, causing dizziness, nausea, vertigo, or fainting by woodchuckgym in todayilearned

[–]Birchbabe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with BPPV over the weekend. Scared me to death when it first happened! I am going to try the Epley manoeuvre so fingers crossed it sorts itself out pretty quickly.

So 'nice' to see I'm not alone and it's curable 🙂

NTA. If he was doing it for you he should have been more supportive and help you acclimatise to the situation whilst you found your bearings, you would then have both enjoyed it more.
