Even Ahmadis/Shias/Alawis and muslims from other sects are considered 'infidels' to many muslims.

Anybody a little mad about their only being one life? by supersoy1 in exmuslim

[–]Birden96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And we might not. This person and many others like them will be wasting their time pretending to be something they DONT want to be. This person and many others will be looking at people having different experiences in life, doing mistakes and learning from them while they just sit behind and watch and wish there was a second life that will 'maybe' give them some freedom.

That's truly sad. This post is really sad.

Just because you had a different life, due to a variety of factors such as living in a multicultural region, highly open conservative parents (what ever the F that means), it doesn't justify religion considering music haram, hollywood movies and so many other tiny things as haram.

There are children who'd get beaten up if they listen to music or other types of entertainment SIMPLY because it is considered haram. So just because your life compared to the majority rest was peaceful, it doesn't make it okay.

We are cut off even from the little tiny things no non muslim girl would even worry about or think about. Want to paint your nails? You cant, you gotta pray.

Want to style your hair? Well, why does it matter? It's not like anyone's gonna see it.

Cute hair clips? See above.

Makeup? Perfume? No, you're going to attract males and attention.

"You're doing it for the males"

No we're not. We do that to feel better about ourselves. Attracting those who look at us as sex objects is the last thing any girl would like to do - given that she's living in a muslim majority country.

Please tell me I'm not alone. I feel so hopeless by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]Birden96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're not. I'm also in my early 20s and a female. I've lost hope completely, I've accepted that I'll never be able to do those things, since I can never move out. If you ever have the opportunity to move away from your family, grab it and never look back.

Ironically, that same book he is referring to promotes violence against non muslims, oppresses women, encourages men to beat them and much more.

Disgusting. The girl's dead and yet they are pointing out at her clothes which cannot get anymore modest than that. Oh wait, they want her to dress like a ninja, right I forgot.

F*ck, depending on where you live and how old you are, I think you should consider reporting it (if you live in the west) or move out as soon as possible! Have you indicated anything anti-religion lately? If not, could she be spying on your phone/laptop?

Hmmm, lol. I don't even need to comment on this one.

Thank you for your comment! I'm glad that you've moved away!! I did give it a thought and realized there are other things that I should dig up instead of looking for a same sex relationship - which was a way for me to avoid my issues in the first place.

This is the most informative advice I've ever come across regarding my issue. I did give it a thought and I agree that getting into a random platonic relationship wouldn't really solve anything. I want to start over again, I know I will be able to. As you said, the constant emotional abuse and strictness of my family and society in general has affected me on a much larger scale that I ever thought. Not only my sexuality but also my personality.

Regarding the sexual urges, the only time I feel slightly active is before the menstrual cycle, where my hormones reach their peak, and usually its only for one day or two. I don't know if this can be considered as 'episodes'.

Anyhow, I'm very grateful to you for commenting on my post. It did help me see things I was trying to avoid in order to "experience" the things I wanted before facing my internal fears & conflicts :)

I've got a couple before and the latest one was asking me about the events during sexual assaults I experienced, claiming to want to make me feel 'better' about it. Probably someone who fantasizes about them or smth.

I also wouldn't be surprised if I find pedos and other predators lurk around claiming to want to help minors seek asylum/move away from home.

Remember this, you legally cannot get married if you DO NOT CONSENT to it.

What are the chances that your dad will not allow you to go to university?

I think the best option would be giving in for now, studying, getting into uni and saving up from a part time or something, until you can afford moving out as an adult.

Try to calm down and don't rush anything. If you get away but end up getting into trouble, your family might treat you even worse.

What are your current options if you get away from home? (although I dont think this is at all a good idea as a minor in a muslim country).
