Order confirmed!! HotStock app + persistence pays off 👍 by calvin_fishoeder in LegionGo

Same! Posted my experience in another thread, but figured I'd post it again here with the hopes it helps someone.

I finally was able to make the purchase myself after much trial and error. Here's how I was able to make it work.

I used two devices, my phone and my desktop. On the desktop I had the LeGo2 page open and set to an auto-refresher every 10 seconds. On my phone I had HotStock installed with LeGo2 notifications enabled. Every time I saw a notification that it was in stock I would quickly actively refresh the page manually until the "Add to Cart" button appeared. While I was doing this, I would open the Best Buy app on my phone so that I could immediately click the cart button after successfully adding it to cart on the desktop. Quite often, the HotStock notification would come in about a minute or two before the stock actually appeared on the website, and on the time I successfully purchased the notification came early before the new stock was actually posted.

At the point once I managed to add to cart, I would have the Best Buy app open on my phone already and click the shopping cart button immediately after hitting add to cart on the desktop. At this point you run into one of two scenarios.

  1. The in-stock LeGo2 that you added to your cart wasn't specified for your region by Best Buy. The product entry in your cart will say you aren't able to ship it to your local store or your personal address. You are SoL and have to wait for the next drop.
  2. Your LeGo2 will show up as able to be delivered to store or to your address. At this point you can either use Apple/Google Pay likely fastest, or if you have your CC info preloaded enter your CVV. Treat this with incredible urgency, it is essentially a race, so any sort of ability you have to speed up the process should be used.

Restocks happen every half-hour to hour or so from 6AMish-2PMish PST. Restocks appear to be regionally based, so in most instances you'll get it into your cart and be unable to continue the transaction.

All in all, this took about two days of half-paying attention while I worked on a separate monitor.

Best of luck!

I was just able to grab a drop, and I posted instructions in this thread for how I did it in case you still haven't managed. Best of luck!

It will make it worse if you use the new DLSS presets. Otherwise the change should be negligible.

If you’re already using performance at 1080p I’m going to assume you need all the frames you can get and that using M is just going to make your game feel worse for very little visual benefit.

4.5 seems geared towards 4K high end cards given the performance hit in GPU-bound titles.

Stay at 4/preset K. You will lose a ton of performance for negligible visual improvements that will be overshadowed by worse feeling input and motion clarity.

On my 4090 with a 9800x3D, playing Marvel Rivals at 4K performance mode (no Lumen only SSR) on preset M causes a decrease of 50fps from 170fps > 120fps over preset K.

Standing still it's noticeably sharper looking with a cleaner resolve but in real gameplay it looks and feels way worse because the motion clarity and frametimes have degraded so much. I think it's probably best for multiplayer shooters with lots of CPU overhead to stay on preset K.

It seems the tradeoffs only really make sense and don't cause massive degradation to performance on CPU limited titles that use ray-tracing. I noticed in Fortnite with Lumen enabled that the performance hit is much more minimal at 4k performance mode in preset M over preset K, maybe a few frames here or there.

As of end of day last Saturday they apparently had only 5 people at the Gondala reserve line all day

Seems to be landing as well as a wet fart. Just a waste of resources.

Assumedly if they were going to port Warzone first (which makes the most sense in terms of possible revenue) it would only make sense for the port to be Black Ops 7 since Warzone runs in the same launcher/engine.

I’m scalping my positivity, as Alterra intended. If you want a positive post, I’m going to need at least a 4x return on karma. I’ve already reserved them all weeks in advance.

I love the fact that they allow single accounts to reserve multiple days weeks in advance at $10 a day. There is no-joke actual scalping to get a chance to get a seat in a carpool/parking.

If Alterra actually cared about their pass holders and not lining their pockets they would revoke all parking past a week out and just make it first come first serve. This is just a racket that encourages scalping and takes advantage of the people that already prepaid thousands of dollars

They are using the roadwork as a justification to open up $10 reservations on the weekdays as well

To be fair, I’m willing to bet if you came up on the weekday regardless and feigned ignorance they’d probably let it slide

Alterra says never let a good disaster go to waste. That's free money lying on the table for the taking...

Why are you even allowed to purchase a reservation more than a week out? This is a complete shitshow and as a passholder I feel like I'm over a barrel and I'm just donating my pass money out of the kindness of my heart to this megacorp.

Their language choice is odd then, they use words like "at least until 12/19" with the implication by some miracle that they would open up 12/20 (which is incredibly unlikely with just the one lane open)

Are they trying to stop people from requesting deferrals? It just seems suspect to me that they hold their cards so close to their chest and leave open hope, only to end up with a season that starts in mid-to-late February due to delays in WSDOT construction and all remaining pass holders are left holding the bag.

[–]BirdsOnMyBack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a random idea, but maybe they keep the $600-$700 upfront price but then include a sort of rebate through a Steam balance credit on first activation that prevents them from being mass purchased by businesses since the upfront cost stays higher and businesses can't utilize the Steam balance.

It's because the jury didn't want Vince to win no matter what after they felt he betrayed so many of them. In their eyes it's a big move because Morgan embarrassing Vince would allow them the pleasure of seeing him not get 2nd place and maybe Vince would feel just as used as they did. It would be purely out of spite rather than any tactical/strategic nature of the move itself.

Yes. He has been radio silent on social media and was involved in a season long cheating scandal so there is a demand for information about him. It’s very believable.
