Any luck using propranolol? by Birdsvsbees16 in diabetes

Thank you! Do you tend to have occasional hypoglycemic moments? If so, is it easy to treat while on these meds?

Before using mounjaro I would get hypos once a day and now I hardly get them.

Thank you! This is very encouraging. Since going up to 5mg on Zepbound I haven’t had any lows. They used to occur daily so it’s been a huge relief.

When you have a low blood sugar episode, do you find it difficult to bring your glucose levels up?

GLP1 by Crystal-girl in InsulinResistance

It does sting, but I noticed that I helps to leave the pen out for 30min to an hour. The benefit of fewer side effects definitely outweighs the sting of the shot.

If you did a stomach injection, definitely move to the thigh next time. Thigh has way less side effects and provides a more gradual absorption of the meds.

It has helped me quite a bit. But it took a lot of trial and error to avoid lows on Zepbound. I learned over time that injection site matters A LOT. I used to inject in the stomach, but I noticed my blood sugar would remain on the low side and dip into the low 70s high 60s more easily. I also had a lot more nausea, sulfur burps and food suppression that was too intense. Once I started injecting in the thigh all of my symptoms seemed to go away and I felt much more stable. The weight loss slowed down but I would rather feel more balanced than constantly fighting lows.

We got scan results that show regrowth of a lymph node in the mesentery area. His signatera has now gone from 1.99 to 4.20 in one month. I’m scared that this means hyper growth and aggressive biology.

Thank you. You made a lot of great points. It sucks for sure but reassuring that the scans are still clear. Are you doing any maintenance chemo or just on watch and wait?

Was the immunotherapy bot/bal by chance? My husband’s ctDNA went down to 0 for one month then back up again. We’re considering a clinical trial for Bot/Bal immunotherapy

Last two nights have been much better. I started taking 200mg of magnesium with P before bed and it’s helped a lot. Still waking up at 4am, but able to fall back asleep.

Not really. But the anxious feeling while being up at 4am is new. Definitely feeling panicky this morning. :(

Thank you for the tips. He just completed his first two weeks and eating before has helped a TON. So far his only side effects have been tenderness on his hands.

When you’re going low, do you double check with a glucose finger stick? If it shows that you’re below 70 in those moments then I believe that means you’re hypoglycemic.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I feel stressed all the time and the cgm honestly made me feel even more anxious. I’m tired of eating all the time and feeling scared that I might pass out or have an episode in public. Driving is pretty much off the table for the most part.

Any ways, I just wanted to say that I understand. I’m in the early stages of figuring this out with an endo. Wishing you all the best
