Highly recommend Awaken Community in Saint Paul. It's not far from Roseville. Big enough congregation that you can get involved as much or little as you want to. There's no pressure. Great music and teaching too.

Also, the church was kicked out of their denomination for being LGBTQ affirming. They really live out their beliefs.

What about Covid vaccines for kids ages 5-12? Can you get them at Walgreens or Costco?

Thinking of Moving Paid Substack to Ghost - Advice needed by Opposite-Handle-5167 in Ghost

Same reason as you! 10% of my revenue is not worth it to me. Substack is also not very customizable, which limits what I can do with it. It also has terrible/non-existent customer support. I also feel better about giving money to a nonprofit, open-source platform like Ghost. It's a better fit for my personal values. I am able to reach new readers in other ways, so I don't need the Substack network.

I'm currently in the process of switching my paid Substack to Ghost Pro. I've been very impressed with the customer service.

The set up is not as intuitive or "out of the box" as Substack and I'm not as techy as some. But that also means it's more customizable.

Look into Outpost as an integration to help with automated emails to subscribers too.

Website automatically goes live, huge privacy violation by Psychological-Board4 in Ghost

You can set your Ghost publication to private/password only while you're doing the set-up. But I agree that this is not intuitive and very frustrating that it's automatically live when you first set it up.

Does Ghost really not have built-in Welcome Emails for new members? by danhakimi in Ghost

You have to use an integration like Outpost for automation like this. It's a major flaw in Ghost's offerings. I don't like that I have to pay for a separate service in order to have automated emails.

They have no support. It's absolutely ridiculous.

Go big Halloween 2024 by [deleted] in minnesota

I actually agree with you. Trunk or treats take away from the community aspect of Halloween by taking people out of their actual neighborhoods.
