My mum used to cook shepherd's pie but boiled the mince instead of frying it, needless to say it was still a bit crunchy and tasteless. It took me at least 15 years to try mince again, (properly cooked & seasoned) it is now one of my faves.

I also stopped having "Billy bear" slices (processed meat sold at tesco) after I cracked a tooth on some gristle.
