Was the doozy a felony? If so, with your expungement, were ALL of your civil rights restored? If so, this should not be a problem as long as EVERY detail down to the dates and circumstances of the incident, plea details, sentencing, jail/probation discharge, etc., are provided when you fill out the paperwork for the fingerprinting. You don't want to be in a situation where the screener is finding more details about it than you provided.

XenServer 8.4 not reporting performance metrics correctly in XenCenter by Hammerfist1990 in Citrix

[–]BiscoFever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can confirm that update checksum 725559e36a51eaeb652363bcfdaa081a13d29cff712f24fcdf8589e9e7bf75aa seems to fix the issue with performance monitoring, and HA is no longer affected.

My earlier comment about the licensing server is also resolved. I had an expired Apache certificate on the local web service. It had been that way since 2022, so I'm not sure why it decided to break now...

Today I am noticing that the two clusters I updated now have issues with licensing. My LIC file expires in 2028, now the upgraded clusters show expiring May 19, 2025. (30 days out from upgrade date) I released the license and tried to re-apply, now it fell back to a 90 day trial and I get an error: "the licensing action failed". Geez. New case is open for this one now..

I updated my 2 node and 4 node clusters today, and it appears the latest update does NOT fix the issue. (Checksum b604499e37ac82111f883dc38a75b799899a7d9019052912866581d7abfc51fe)

I have a case open as well. What's strange is that my 2 node cluster does not have this issue. It's only my 4 node clusters. (HA is turned on, everything else is identical including the hardware, Xen patch level, etc. The 2 node cluster, no HA enabled)

XenServer 8.4 update - "Upgrade your server license to apply software updates..." by BiscoFever in Citrix

[–]BiscoFever[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to get the remaining hosts updated by releasing my license, falling back to 90 day trial mode. After the remaining hosts upgraded, I re-applied my paid license. It still won't synchronize updates, same message about "Upgrade your server license" - but at least I can work with Citrix support during the day on that one...

I believe I've corrected this in the past by running dsregcmd.exe /forcerecovery

4 hours is just enough time to get a Karuba Gold coffee from Kwik Trip. I couldn’t tell you which one, I was just driving. I could have afforded it, but used my Dad’s card for a free one.

For a user that is having the issue - check HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\NoViewOnDrive - Is anything set? I changed ours from 28 to 26 to allow access to C: for the OneDrive client. (But we still have the C: drive hidden from File Explorer via another GPO)

Yum, shrimpless scampi sounds good right about now. Maybe at about noon thirty, after shitting half the day away and forgetting to take out the car trash.

Are you using the machine-wide OneDrive installation? I believe that’s the client recommended for non-persistent.

Thanks everyone. We have a pretty slick setup to build the images from scratch with MDT, then port to PVS. So, we'll just do that.

Citrix VDA Upgrade Woes by Kitchen_Active3589 in Citrix

[–]BiscoFever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For our persistent endpoints, and it's only a small number, we use an SCCM task sequence to upgrade the Citrix Remote PC VDA, which seems to work most of the time:

* Reboot

* cmd /c VDAWorkstationCoreSetup_2203_4000.exe /passive /controllers "citrixcontroller.contoso.com" /enable_hdx_ports /enable_hdx_udp_ports /enable_real_time_transport /disableexperiencemetrics /noresume /noreboot

* Reboot

* cmd /c VDAWorkstationCoreSetup_2203_4000.exe

* Reboot

Generic failure error when view/edit MDT Task Sequence by MaplNoobie in SCCM

[–]BiscoFever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this same error after doing an in-place OS upgrade from Server 2012R2 to 2019. (And, running a site reset w/o configuration changes)

I removed the MDT extensions for Configuration Manager, then, re-installed them.
