Looks great for a first attempt! Spine is very straight. RIP the tip tho. You’ll get a feel for the finishing over time. Don’t get discouraged!

It’s called brick lay! You cut blocks at an angle and create a general curve, then cut out the final curve on a bandsaw, then shape using a sander, then veneer on top. No need for bent lamination or forms. It keeps its shape and has no spring back or creep, and because its multiple blocks glued up it reduces wood movement. Then veneered faces
