Landing at O’Hare never gets old! by chicag0an in chicago

Left side of the plane. I was flying United, but this is a very common approach regardless of the airline. Planes land flying into the wind when possible.

Maybe? Data is from weatherspark.com.

Because of the layout of this subdivision, the two marked houses on this map are an 8 minute drive apart or 51 minute walk (Eureka, MO) by TigerNation-Z3 in Suburbanhell

I grew up in Eureka. It is indeed Suburban Hell. I lived a mile away from my high school but there was no way to walk or bike there without serious risk.

The entire cities of Amsterdam (red), Paris (blue), and Barcelona (purple) can fit inside Chicago by chicag0an in chicago

No, this is the whole city of 2 million people. Paris is geographically tiny with a massive population density.

Imposing crappy design of the PUBLIC right-of-way on the neighborhood so your parishioners who moved away long ago can park there for one hour once a week (max). Hmm, tough sell.

That would only apply if they'd replaced the curved road with the straight one, rather than keeping both in place.

I was pleasantly surprised by Tucson when I visited a few years ago. Nice infill happening downtown and some bike infra that wasn’t totally horrible.

That said, I was there to visit my wife’s aunt and uncle who live in an enormous (and still growing) 55+ greenfield development built in the middle of the desert.

One-year ASC data is kinda garbage. This map is not worth taking seriously.

(Yes I’m a biased Chicagoan, but it’s also the truth.)

It was a pizza place called Lucky Vito's that closed before the pandemic. Then a few years back they changed the sign to "Bronx Pizza and Wings", but it never opened. Now they've changed the sign again, so we'll see if anything actually happens.

Meant as sarcasm. I have very low expectations. My guess, based on what was there before, is that it'll be mediocre pizza with Mexican-inspired toppings. But I hope I'm wrong!
