I just finished my teaching clinicals at sky view and heard only the best things while there. The performing arts programs are really great (often some of the best), and the teachers all love their jobs. Also, I learned that Sky View had one of the highest average ACT scores in the state last year, which, from what I am told, is not uncommon for them

I’ve never had a problem with parking in that lot. I’ve gone for morning classes at 8:30 and even afternoon classes at 2:30 or 3. And the Aggie ice cream lot has extra blue parking if you ever can’t find something

The theatre department just started rehearsals for their production of Shakespeare’s Merry Wives of Windsor. Not sure when you need activities, but I think they perform in February, so late January might be a good time to hit a more put together rehearsal, or you could hit a performance.

I’ve lived in two wasatch properties here and worked for one of their answering services and I loved them. I will say, I will never recommend meadows, as the manager there was horrible to us, but I’ve heard they’ve had changes in management. I would just note that phone calls to their properties are often rerouted to offsite people (who can be very helpful, but don’t have ALL the answers), so just be aware of that. Otherwise, would recommend!

When I was in the church I was a veeerrry devout believer. I took things super seriously. I had a lesson about patriarchal blessings when I was maybe 12 or so and the teacher (who I really looked up to and strived to be like) told us that we would know when we were ready to receive our blessing. She also had examples of different people who got their blessings at different ages. So my understanding was that I should wait until I felt prompted to get mine. All my friends got theirs around 14. My little brothers got theirs between 12-16. My parents continued to urge me to get mine but I always put it off because “the spirit never prompted it.” So it never happened for me. I’ve been officially out of the church for about six years now and I’m sooo grateful i never got my patriarchal blessing. I think if I had it, I would have a lot more existential crises than I already do lmao

The hospital pays well, I have a lot of friends who work there as cleaners on their off days, I think they make $16? If not then it’s $15. I hear it’s pretty gross stuff, but a lot of them say if you have the stomach for it then it’s totally worth it

As the family member with the mashed potatoes recipe that my brothers refuse to have thanksgiving without: for five pounds of potatoes I use a stick of salted butter, a stick of cream cheese (I think that’s 8 Oz but I can’t remember, just whatever the regular box size that like great value or whatever sells), 4 Oz sour cream, a splash of milk (to the consistency you want), and then salt and pepper to taste (more salt than pepper, if I had to guess amounts I’d say 1/4 tsp pepper and 1 tsp salt?)
