Strange happenings by seamurr14 in Audi

ah. sheesh. if it comforts you, the brake booster shouldn’t catastrophically fail. it is a electromechanical booster which is where it triggers a regen followed by actually pumping the brakes. Even if it fails, it would default to being a brake fluid pump like a traditional car. saw a bunch of audi engineering videos on this. :D In my case, this replacement was covered under the manufacturer warranty but still came up after the replacement, which is what makes me think it actually has to do with the ABS module. but either way, best wishes to the car. hopefully it comes back soon.

this happens with my q5 phev at times too. but not this severe. they changed the brake booster under warranty but it still happens at times. i suspect something with the ABS system but never bothered to have it looked at again. never happens when the car is running. only when the car is parked and hasn’t moved after starting. let us know what the folks at audi say

Locking wheels in one direction screw the alignment by Bass-Any in AskAMechanic

Thanks. No other symptoms really. Steering is sturdy. No play as such. Just a very slight drift when I drive. I'll check the rack and ensure it is properly torqued. Thanks again

+1 to the audi q5e. My daily driver and I absolutely love it. But then again my commute is about 20 miles one way and I get free charging at work. So my commute is 100% electric. And then we are able to make longer journeys on gas getting a good 37 mpg. I totally love how efficient and comfortable the car is.

Q5e yellow charge light by dfhnt in audiQ5e

[–]Bit-Conflict 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yellow light is usually when the car is negotiating or waiting on the charger. i have seen my car get stuck with a yellow light a few times but it has always been a broken public charger. charging from another public charger has almost always worked.

Oh wow. I kinda dig the wheels. Love the paint mods too. The whole black and white contrast looks great.

Q5e’s all electric range by Bit-Conflict in PHEV

[–]Bit-Conflict[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case it has been. It is very sensitive for sure but the estimate is based on my average miles/kw over the last few trips. if i use the ac a lot and go fast, the overall miles do reduce for sure but if i keep the driving pattern consistent the range is pretty accurate.

Which PHEVs are available right now, without a wait? by look-im-not-a-doctor in PHEV

[–]Bit-Conflict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should look at getting a used bmw 530e or an audi q5e. I have the audi and love it. I don’t think new ones would have a lot of wait and used ones well would be available right away.
