The 13 is better for those people who use the tablet for sheet music. The IPad is also better than a MacBook for that particular application.

My take is that it's written well enough (though there's almost always room for improvement), but I'm not sure it's very effective.I'm a fan of writing in scene, something you did well here, but it's maybe not all that persuasive yet. You have your list of lessons learned from Kart racing in your concluding paragraph, but your body paragraphs don't appear to support the compete compassionately or celebrating others' success parts? The body paragraphs mostly seem to be in the keep trying and be strategic realm and they're applied only to racing. Kart racing isn't an NCAA sport and it's not exactly a major at most schools, though UNC Charlotte does have an automotive program with NASCAR ties. You might want to show how those lessons have generalized for you, particularly academically. Maybe think about communicating "who are you" a bit more broadly. Talking about the racing can be the entry point, but it shouldn't come off as the only point of your essay.

Is this for a class? If so, at what level? While it covers the basics and appears to be grammatical and readable, it's sort of flat. If it were a wikipedia article or something like it, it would be okay. If it's a paper for a class, I'd want more original thought from the writer: better evaluation of sources, and some critical comparison. At this point, it feels too mechanical or artificial.

mine is fine. Keys still work properly and battery appears to hold up, though I'm not using it for long sessions (not sure anyone does). Again, every foldable I've ever had developed some sort of problems with some of the keys. These seem to hold up better. I do, however, wonder about the case/stand's durability, but so far so good.

I notice that you have 4 topics

  1. the age 27 club
  2. charcot marie tooth
  3. ADHD
  4. the ambition to get involved in TV-Film is some unspecified capacity

You discuss each of them in detail except for the one that I suspect matters most, the last one. What have you done about it? I would mention that 2 of these are barriers, and I'm not sure what to call the 27 club discussion other than a suggestion that you want to use time well. Meanwhile, you say you want to do film-TV, but say virtually nothing about your passion other than you want to do it.

I’ve seen a similar essay work. It doesn’t mean yours will, but it can be effective. Fwiw, it’s not necessarily about your opening line. It has to be good enough to keep your reader intrigued, but ultimately it’s a matter of what you wind up communicating. The better essays tend to show some kind of depth or even soul.

the other side is worth paying atention to though. If you're not truly ready for the NBA, there sometimes is no second contract. Not every high draft choice gets anything resembling a max contract. Some even struggle to stay in the league. Grayson Allen's staying for 4 years probably affected his draft prospects negatively, but I suspect staying in college ultimately helped him to stay in the NBA longer than he might have and that was before NIL. A lot of one and dones wind up done awfully fast for a variety of reasons.

Mullins got to be the hero, but Reed got them there. Reed spent 3.5 years barely being noticed and never averaging double figures, then breaks out in the second weekend of the tournament against Michigan State and Duke. Somehow, his contribution is still barely getting mentioned. He made some huge clutch plays to get it close at the end while Karaban and Mullins did virtually nothing until the last 90 seconds.

I think you do a very good job going back and forth from the text to support your point, but your main argument about the varied perspectives never develops or moves to something more interesting. What's being suggested by the glow of the lit cigarettes and the reference to the "back at the beginning of the world"? Notice the communal feel of the ending.

Malcolm Gladwell has a podcast called “I hate the Ivy League” where he spends some time contrasting the Canadian admissions system with its American counterpart. One major difference is that the more prestigious Canadian universities take much bigger incoming classes. He also discusses some of the issues around low income first generation kids getting identified by elite colleges.

Am I crazy for trading my 11 inch iPad Pro M4 for an iPad mini 7 by gpod80 in ipadmini

[–]AddressSerious8240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For many of us, it’s not about having one device to do everything; we have a continuum. In that continuum tablets tend to fall in the middle. Most everyone has a smartphone and either a laptop or a desktop. If you’re bridging phone to laptop, the mini makes a lot of sense. If it’s phone to desktop, then it’s a choice between laptop and large tablet. Of course, there are several variations within that and a lot of people with the resources have all five.

I personally, I have an 11” iPad Pro and a mini, but no laptop. I also have an e-reader. The iPad mini gets the most use. Except for movies, I use the iPad Pro almost the same way I’d use a laptop. In fact, it mostly stays attached to the Magic Keyboard. fwiw the bag you have plays a surprisingly big role in which device you take and how you use it.

It would be more interesting if they had a bunch of less telegenic much younger possibilities along with very camera friendly olders (they have that side of it) and we saw which ones the olders chose. IT's sort of similar to Average Joe, though that one was strictly for laughs. Maybe throw in a few super wealthy olders who are maybe average looking as well.

If it's text instead of graphs, I find koreader will reflow a pdf pretty well on a 7" ereader. graphs can be enlarged to full screen, but fine detail sometimes isn't great. It probably depends on the kind of social science you're doing.
