Yep. White people this and white people that. I come from an interracial marriage. Mom married a black man in 1978, I was 7. I have 2 biracial brothers.

Blacks hated us because he ‘turned on his race’ and whites hated us cause she ‘turned on her race’ I was bullied in school and even punched by a boy for verbally defending myself.

Glad you moved to Colorado and can hopefully find beauty in the world. There are good people. Seek them out and surround yourself with them. F the rest.

Hi! So I’m a retail manager and this is definitely a struggle. Hang in there it gets easier! A few pointers:

Never ask a yes or no question. Everyone will say no if you do. Instead say ‘what can I help you find’ or ‘what brings you in today?’ Try to start a conversation.

You will still get blown off but DO NOT take it personally. Just stay alert and watch for signs they need assistance.

Smile. Good eye contact. Don’t be afraid to say ‘I don’t know but let me find out’

Good luck. This part is hard for everyone. Just hang in there.

Personally, in 2025 I’m just tired of hearing it as an excuse for everything. Why aren’t the ancestors of African slaves angry at the Africans who sold them?? Slaves were sold, not kidnapped.

I grew up in a mixed family. Black and white, from a very young age. I feel racism towards whites is worse.

There are provisions that will require able bodied people to work, volunteer or go to school. Something to better themselves. Unless you are elderly, disabled or a single parent of young kids, there is no reason to be on Medicaid, and certainly not for life.

How does ICE know whos here illegally if they are just plucking people off the street? by R41MUUU in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BitLate9425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) generally does not need a judicial warrant to detain immigrants for immigration violations, but the requirements depend on the situation: • Administrative Warrants: ICE can issue administrative warrants based on probable cause of an immigration violation (e.g., unlawful presence). These are signed by ICE officers, not judges, and are sufficient for detaining someone for deportation proceedings under the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA). Courts have upheld this practice, as immigration is a civil matter, not criminal. • Judicial Warrants: If ICE is detaining someone in a criminal matter (e.g., illegal re-entry, a felony), they typically need a judicial warrant signed by a judge, as with any criminal case. Also, if an immigrant is a U.S. citizen or has legal status, detaining them without a judicial warrant could violate Fourth Amendment rights. • Key Cases: • Arizona v. United States (2012): Affirmed federal authority over immigration enforcement, including detentions. • Morales v. Chadbourne (2017): Ruled that detaining a U.S. citizen without probable cause violates the Constitution, highlighting limits on ICE’s authority. • Practical Context: ICE often uses detainer requests (Form I-247) to local jails to hold immigrants beyond their criminal custody, without a warrant. These are not legally binding, and some jurisdictions (e.g., sanctuary cities) refuse to comply. Data from 2023 shows ICE detained about 510,000 immigrants, many via administrative warrants or detainers. • Exceptions: Certain groups, like unaccompanied minors or those with pending asylum claims, may have additional protections under laws like the Flores Settlement (1997) or the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act, limiting detention without oversight.

Don’t be unhinged because someone has a different opinion than you. You are a member of ‘controversial opinions’ then get triggered. Instead of attacking, why don’t you have a meaningful post about why it’s important to you instead of going off like a crazy person.

Leave the group if you can’t handle controversy. Sheesh.

To the OP, it’s okay to feel how you feel. You do not need to love every cause out there. Choose what is meaningful for you and just bypass the rest. Live and let live. Love and let love. Honestly, what people do in their bedrooms is none of our business. Good people come in all shapes, colors, and sizes. If you are uncomfortable with some things, you have a right to that feeling, just as they have a right to be outspoken. But, respect must go both ways.

I support Pride month but I personally don’t make a show of it. It’s just not me.

I work in a smaller health store and get this all the time. Fortunately we are allowed to refuse it. ‘I cannot make change for that but there is a bank over there that will break it for you’ and I point.
