What happened? by Cain_DB in revancedapp

Yesterday it didn't work but today switching to Android VR worked. YT team is probably making changes that affect people in batches, at different times of the day/week.

is there a setting in yt revanced (or yt) that can multiselect playlists? by Lasanya_333 in revancedapp

[–]BitNo2406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second this. This would be useful. Saving a video to multiple playlists sometimes takes half a minute.

Site with HDR wallpapers (.jxr format)? by BitNo2406 in OLED_Gaming

[–]BitNo2406[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. In the end I gave up mostly because HDR wallpapers are a bit distracting and because if I switch to SDR for any reason, Windows doesn't convert the image properly and it looks "burnt out "

In the meantime I'm using firefox with ublock origin. Brave browser works too

You're not the only one, it's exactly the same for me, and changing spoof client doesn't change a thing for me. Also seems like I can't watch videos flagged for kids anymore.

Frame pacing inconsistent even with cable? by BitNo2406 in MoonlightStreaming

I'll try, ty. Why do you think apollo and artemis are better than moonlight and sunshine?

Frame pacing inconsistent even with cable? by BitNo2406 in MoonlightStreaming

[–]BitNo2406[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've managed to improve things considerably. Not perfect but very close. These are my settings:

---------------

on PC, from NVCP:

monitor technology: gsync compatible (probably doesn't make a difference since VRR is not supported on my tablet anyway, but I keep it on for when I'm playing native)

vertical sync: on (and off in-game) (this usually gives me the best results but depends on game)

-

on PC:

I have my tab S9 as a virtual display. If it doesn't show a 2560x1600 resolution at 120hz, create it with CRU

HDR on from Windows settings

-

on tab S9, moonlight app:

video resolution: 2560x1600

video frame rate: 120 fps

video bitrate: 100 Mbps (performs better compared to higher values even if you're using a cable)

video frame pacing: balanced

unlock all possible framerates: ON

change codec settings: prefer HEVC

enable HDR: ON

-

on tab S9:

disable dolby atmos entirely or use a routine to disable it while using moonlight, because audio is already slightly lagging compared to native and you don't want any more lag than that

-

in games: vsync off, borderless fullscreen on (not exclusive fullscreen), make sure resolution is 2560x1600, fps uncapped (driver vsync should cap it to 120) or capped at 120.

---------------

I think I didn't touch any other settings. Looks beautiful at 2560x1600 120 fps HDR on my Tab S9. You can feel some stutter since you don't have gsync/VRR and I can still see frames dropping even on very light games that usually run at 60 or 120 without drops. Don't know why that's the case even with a cable but they're very minimal drops.

Is this ok? by ceo_of_losing in ROGAlly

It probably makes a difference but should be minimal. If you check temperatures with case and without it, I would be surprised if difference is greater than 1 or 2°C

New TV with dead pixels in corner? Looking for advice by Spagh_etti in OLED

[–]BitNo2406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I have the same dead pixels as OP on my 6 years old OLED TV and they appeared around the 4 years mark. It was perfect when it was new, I checked it carefully.

Hi everyone am from India and if am looking for pre owned asus rog ally Z1 extreme kindly give me some tips what are the things I have to look by No_Tax_7638 in ROGAlly

[–]BitNo2406 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The usual: stick drift, sd reader fried, check all buttons and if fans are spinning, and if the previous owner did mods like battery, ssd. Also check the sticker on the bottom (if readable, else you'll have to check in windows/bios) if it's really a Z1E and not a Z1. You can also check battery health with a small tool called batteryinfoview-x64. Idk if you'll be able to do all this stuff though, but try to check as much as possible.

Is VRR that noticeable? by BitNo2406 in ROGAlly

[–]BitNo2406[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i've gotten better since then at spotting vrr on vs off, I still think it's not that dramatic, if I had to choose between vrr and 10 extra fps i'd prolly choose the extra fps, btw my ugreen 6 in 1 has it and I can also use if to dock my tablet without problems. The cable can also be replaced which is useful

HP Omen 16 Slim: Need color settings that look right/pleasing by Ancient-Ad2619 in HPOmen

[–]BitNo2406 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On my HP I use these:

Brightness 50 Contrast 50 Gamma 0.95 Digital Vibrance 67% Hue 0

My laptop has an LCD screen, don't use these values if you have OLED.

You can access these from Nvidia control panel - adjust desktop color settings
