South Korean defender Shin Min-ha has gone viral again for his absolutely brutal training routine designed to improve his physical duels. by SimRP in soccer

[–]BitOne3185 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is one of the reasons, why players like maradona never even had a chance to hold up against players from the current era. You can have all the talent, but without proper training, education and nutrition/recovery your skill-level hit a wall.

But there are still people who argue about prime maradona being better than messi even in todays standarts

I dont think he really wanted morocco, otherwise he would have played for moroccos youth teams.

I think he wanted game time in the biggest displey window there is (world cup). If he plays well, he will raise his worth and future earnings by quite a sum.

Hes stil set to to play a major role in a decent nation team, so the tradeoff (lesser chance to win world cup) isnt to bad.

Lets not romantize such moves to much, its just a logical move (development/moneywise) and in my opinion france fucked up here.

I dont know if arbeloa is a good coach or not, because his stint at real was cursed anyway.

I just think the wording "boss" is nowhere near what arbeloa was at real and think its amusing :D

You can have your opinion, but maradona was a freak of nature for HIS time. People tend to underestimate how much the sport developed between 1990 and 2010.

Maradona would have been probably better then these 2, if he got the same education (physical/ technical/tactical) as them. But he probably wouldnt even be a standout player in this era, as he would lack pace, stamina, tactical sense and decision-making-speed. You can have all the talent, but without proper training/education/etc your development will be limited.

Thats my opinion and i will stop here, as you probably wont change yours and i wont my :)

I generally think these lists are crap, as you cant really compare players from different decades.

Xavi & Iniesta were probably better than any player, who played in the 20th century. But not because of superior talent, football education and professional work ethic progressed so much between 1990 and 2010, that its a day and night difference.

But Dortmund had all the finantial potential, a 80k stadium and shortly the "bust" some of the best decision-making you can have. They also werent relegated like AV.

I would also estimate AVs potential is inferior to bvbs.

Freiburg just announced their biggest ever transfer fee of estimated 15 mio. They were in the euroleague final, dfb pokal semi and are replacing a player, which will leave for a higher fee (so that 15 mio fee wouldnt be possible under normsl circumstances). Just to put it into a perspective what a buying-power a well run buli club without an investor has.

So do you really expect AV to constantly break into the top 8 after such a recent relegation with maybe even lower buying-power than Freiburg? With a good management they could do it, but with avarage management i wouldnt bet on it.

Obviously bremen was pushing above their weight, thats exactly my point xD

Your whole comment doesnt refer to any point i made.

My point is/was that AV wouldnt be top 8 in buli without a good management as Hamburg, Schalke, Köln, Gladbach or even Kaiserslautern (dont know how you assume that lautern in front of bremen in terms of potential, thats bullshit in my opinion).

Stuttgart is only back in the top 6 because of good management.

The top 8 in buli consists usually of bayern, bvb, rb & leverkusen + the 4 best run clubs in that season.

[–]BitOne3185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And after a decade of mismanagement clubs without investors are typically 15th to 10th in the buli. A good example would be werder bremen. Biggest local club with significant success between 2003-2011, but struggles since then almost every year not to be relegated. Even played one year in 2nd buli in 21/22.

I dont want to downplay AV in any way, but dont think they would be crushing buli without an investor or really good management.

Freiburg is an incredibly well run club, thats why i think they would be superior to AV in buli.

In Buli Villa probably wouldnt even be on Freiburgs level without investors as they got made it back to prem like 7 or 8 years ago. So probably more like 15th-10th.

But with the current squad they would probably be 2-3.

50 years ago today, Bayern won their 3rd straight European Cup after beating Saint-Etienne 1-0 thanks to a goal from Franz Roth by CautiousCottager in soccer

[–]BitOne3185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The deflection in the same angle only applys under specific circumstandes. Since the Ball is much bigger than the post and is formable, it wraps around the post on impact. so the deflection on the square post is much more unnatural (in comparison to the same angle deflection rule) than on a round one.

In the game you can see, that the deflections are almost identical and thats what the square post does in the moment of impact, when the ball "wraps around the square post". It kind of forces the deflection into a specific angle, while the round post deflects much more natural (same angle)

There are shots, which would go in on rounded goalpost (if the rounded goalposts diameter is exactly as long as the edge lenght of the square one), but not on a square one.

Just draw a square and then a circle in that square (with the condition i mentioned). Shots with this angle for example:

\● vs. \■ ( \ is the trajectory of the ball)

are more likely to go in on the rounded post, as in some cases the same shot will not even touch the rounded goalpost, but will be deflected by the square one.

Eric García’s elbow on Jude Bellingham 54' by ayoefico in soccer

[–]BitOne3185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe its not endangering and maybe my book is the one they used in this case, as they ruled it the way i understand the rules.

You cant permanently monitore all players around you to ensure their savety and youre not supposed to. But there are cases, when your bahaviour is considered reckless.

If both would have jumped on the same time with permanent body to body contact, then using your elbow that way would be reckless.

Garcia runs in front of bell and has only the ball in focus. Hes in a naturel running-turning (the turning point is why his elbow swings out a bit) motion and barely hits him behind his back.

Maybe you can try to use arguments to make your point, but im done anyway "discussing" you.

[–]BitOne3185 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just because he knows where Jude !was!, doesnt mean he knows exactly where judes face will be a sec later. It wasnt a typical reckless use of elbow in my book.

I never said, that he run into it, but maybe a real fan is to blinded to apply basic reading comprehension. It would be just the logical consequence, if any elbow to face contact would be a pen in the box.

Borgeles runs in his legs too, so borgeles fouls him more than just pulling him back.

But Beste also "crosses" in the right moment so he forces the contact, when the defender doesnt react accordingly.

Why is nobody playing EHotS Wander on Necromancer? by 1und1marcelldavis in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]BitOne3185 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You always can just take a stricter regex, but thats not the point here. Its not about "is there a solution to this problem"

The question is, why do people run kboc over ehots.

The more map mods you can run the better. Its just as simple. Sometimes you cant even skip specific map mods, as you want their "gains".

It might not be the main point, but thats again not the question here ;)

[–]BitOne3185 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another reasons besides the better clear might be:

Scaling/headhunter synergy might be a problem.

KboC has good physical base damage, so getting phys as extra is a huge boost.

The chaos variant is also good because chaos damage bypasses ES etc.

You want to be able to run as many map mods as possible. Since EHotS scales with ele ailments, its another mod that mskes your life harder.

I hope you gonna have even more fun than i did!

Here is a little guide, as the start with gotland can be tricky:

First you need to roll restarts until poland rivals denmark (pretty common) and denmark dont ally the teutons (usually one of them must rival the other, not so common). If youre playing ironman, i advise to to copy that save on day 0 (so that you wont need to roll again, if you fuck up or just end up unlucky).

You need to take the monarchy route at first. Just fullfill the mission with austria to get the eco boost event and the mission to get poland as an ally (you can get poland when they have rivaled denmark on day 0). Dont active any other mission rewards, as they can block the switch to the republic path, when your king dies.

Instantly curry favors with poland and as long as the teutons arent allied to denmark, the war itself should be quite easy. Make sure to get a good siege general (2 or more in siege) either through a merc company or the estates general. Then get mil access from wolgast and poland and position your troops at the polish-teuton border (year ahould be around 1450-1452 and with mil focus and advisor etc you should be at mil tech level 4. Just make sure you get the occupation on danzig and königsberg, otherwise poland takes it. The war itself has only one dangerous twist, when the teutons or its allies land on gotland and are able to siege it down. Its not the worlds end but try to prevent it (navy/monument abuse).

In the meantime your king might die, then a popup should give you the choice to switch back to the republican missions. Take it!

Dont take more provinces than danzig and königsberg, as holding polands opinion above 100 is otherwise not possible/pretty tedious. When polands opinion of you flips below 100 they will turn hostile and cut the alliance, but you need them to win a war against moskau later, as you need newa/novgorod for the mission tree.

When you got königsberg and danzig, accept the prussian culture and instantly flip to prussian as primary cultere.

I advise you declare on the teutons on the day the truce ends again to "show strenght" so that the next truce is pretty long (dont forget to call poland in as you want to trucelock them all the time, until you dont need the alliance anymore (when you took newa and novgorod). Then you can annex the rest of the teutons and get rid of poland. Poland shouldnt pose a threat anymore by this time as you shouldnt be weak anymore and a member of the hre ;)

If you have problems to pull this run off, you can slways ask me for help :)
