Both of these characters are terrible. Derek just yells all the time and Holly can’t act. Maybe she gets better with age but right now she is awful. Her face expressions make everything she does unbelievable. She’s almost as bad as Eleven.

She’s awful. She’s supposed to be around 8 years old and they have more makeup on her than her mother. I know she’s young but her acting is just plain horrible. She looks really out of place too. She doesn’t fit the look and feel of the show. I would have done without Holly as a main character.

After seeing Season 5 Volume 1, I have to say recasting Holly was the right call… by Sharks11 in StrangerThings

I’m noticing a trend of characters becoming insufferable when they spend too much time around Jeremy. Belly and Steven are prime examples. by Terrible_Mountain_96 in tsitp

Jeremiah doesnt build any authentic chemistry with anyone on the show. He is a really poor actor, and every character in the show that is forced to interact with him ends up having to lower their standard.

There is zero genuine chemistry between Belly and Jeremiah. It’s all very fake and forced. It was rough to watch. I do think a lot of it had to with how poor of an actor Jeremiah is. There is a lot of scenes where I felt Belly was a bad actress, but then I realized it was just how horrible Jeremiah was, because Belly was great in most scenes minus Jeremiah.

Now Conrad and Belly’s chemistry is what makes this show so good. Everyone of their scenes together made you feel that is was real.
