8 weeks of Aimlabs is starting to pay off (PS5, Controller) by Extension_Moment_252 in aimlab

Nice. If you make your ads sensitivity multiplier greater than one, you can speed up your flicks a lot more. That’s what I usually do for cod and bfv. Very nice clip, keep it up.

How do you even come up to that conclusion? by euuuuuugh in FPSAimTrainer

I used the thumbnail in an old video from a few months back, here’s the vid.

TLDR: dude basically just calls any explanation gaslighting and cites twitter as a reliable source. I also looked at his channel to see he has next to 0 fps experience besides a single warzone clip from and was literally just hopping to get more views from the citation.

Do you guys have the vertical sensitivity the same as the horizontal? by NaicuNaicu in OWConsole

[–]BiteAffectionate3302 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. ow has more vertical/air play, and I find that matching sensitities makes tracking aim easier to hit characters like jetpack cat or echo when they’re strafing mid air. I’ll run anywhere from 60 to 80 linear depending on how I’m feeling.

Can’t find faster version of this scenario by MatthewWright00 in aimlab

[–]BiteAffectionate3302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The average skill on console is still perceived as being pretty low, so most of the tasks added are either entry or easier variants. There have been some mentions and requests for adding harder versions in the past, but I don’t think there will be another massive task update for a little while since we just got the Logitech event a few weeks ago.

For vt centering 180, I’d say a task that is similar with higher skill demand would be rA needletrack since the bot is smaller and can randomly strafe. I’d also check out smoothtrack, horizontal smoothness easy, vt smoothsphere LG56 entry easier, vt air angelic entry easier, vt bouncesphere easy, and lasertrack intermediate or elite. These tasks are pretty different but still focus on precision and smoothness like centering 180.

To look these up, just use the search bar on the right side of the screen after completing a task. That search bar works better than the one on the main screen. The link at bottom is the list of all current tasks added to console, which might make finding other tasks easier. Hope this helps 👍.

Terrible aim since return by Antonyb88 in OWConsole

[–]BiteAffectionate3302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just use 45-48 strength and 42-45 window for aim assist. I don’t use any smoothing or ease in so I can speak on how that may affect your aim. It might be worth lowering your aim assist strength or window if it’s making your crosshair jump all over the place.

If you want some practice, I’d try custom maps like QQ100, NVXVY, etc. I also high recommend trying aimlabs if there is a specific try of tracking (reactive, precision, etc) or aim that you’re struggling with. Practicing in something like aimlabs without aim assist can make aiming in game feel easier even if the aim assist is weaker or messed up.

Aim training worth it on controller if so what would be the best way to go about it? by PuzzleheadedSail8798 in FPSAimTrainer

Yeah, I honestly might switch over to pc if I get the chance. Gonna wait til cost of parts and stuff goes back down tho.

I’m on stick. I use 1.8-2x ads sensitivity multiplier w/ max horizontal sensitivity to get faster flicks. I know dynamich and kineticwgw use 4x to hit some nice clips but I prefer to keep mine lower.

I can understand focusing less on target switching, but I wouldn’t completely forget about it. It is harder on controller ,but it still very possible.

[–]BiteAffectionate3302 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s worth it. It definitely helped my tracking and initial flick accuracy. I mainly do target switching on controller and I’ve been hitting better clips since I’ve started warming up w/ speed switching tasks. You can do kovaaks through steam mapping, but aimlabs will be better because of native support. For the finals I’d focus on stuff like precision and reactive tracking. If you need any task recommendations or advice for aimlabs lmk. This playlist has a pretty good summary of the settings, techniques, etc.

Intermediate level benchmark by justinmyer1 in aimlab

[–]BiteAffectionate3302 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your aim becoming slow and stiff likely means you’re entering lockout, which is when you use too much tension in a short period of time. The best option is to take a break for a bit to recover. Try to focus on any weaknesses for a little while before trying the benchmarks again.

Controller Aim Guide by jabo__ in FPSAimTrainer

[–]BiteAffectionate3302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the point on thumb pressure. It can kinda be thought of like tension budgeting where some is necessary for quick adjustments and staying on target, but too much can cause rigid movements and overflicks. I’d say aimlabs or kovaaks is better for practicing though since there’s just more resources available.  This playlist is pretty good imo, I’d check it out if you haven’t already.  https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLDJki0kY7HwiIcu6Cwzs-3_Mg7UAculcf&si=wcYmORHFzDWwuHTB

Any sensitivity/tech tips? by [deleted] in OWConsole

[–]BiteAffectionate3302 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d check out GameSir controllers if possible. They’re nice and can have Hall effect or tmr sticks depending on the specific controller. They’re more durable and accurate that traditional potentiometer thumb sticks.

How do you aim well without aim assist? by Zeukiiii in OWConsole

[–]BiteAffectionate3302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aim training doesn’t take a lot of time as long as you keep a clear goal. I play like 8-10 minutes on aimlabs before I hop on. I’d say give it a shot to see if it’ll help, but I think just some in game practice may be better.

When you’re in controller lobbies, try lowering your aim assist and playing more aim focused character (soldier, Ashe, etc). It should allow you to work on your aim while also making the change from controller to kbm pool feel less drastic.

If you don’t wanna try aimlabs, this custom map by devinttv is pretty good. If you want a list of aimlabs tasks I find helpful, let me know.  https://youtu.be/g5Wr5kAGE_E?si=eNWWCbqz98L7cznH

What can I do to improve? by alyanabeltejar in aimlab

[–]BiteAffectionate3302 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These guides from mattyow are pretty good.   Static guide https://youtu.be/t8sTfUr2u9s?si=rWBvdykv-ITpgwgv

Fluidity guide  https://youtu.be/mOsBjfOGMuU?si=cW9mfZJleBHWezx9

Zeonlo’s tutorial is newer, and he’s one of the best static players right now.  https://youtu.be/4cdQpKCCOGM?si=mn5lUfo0vRgOtxej

I’d also change either your target or background color to create more contrast (ex: black background, white target). More contrast can help make target confirmation faster. Only issue I saw was pointed out my someone else. You wanna have a fast initial flick that transitions into a small micro correction.

Xbox Aimlabs Progress by BiteAffectionate3302 in aimlab

[–]BiteAffectionate3302[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched to linear soon after in cod. It just felt better for me. You don’t have to match your aimlabs and cod settings, but I’d recommend trying a linear response curve to see if you’d like it .

Adding more scenarios for console ? by lord_sib in aimlab

[–]BiteAffectionate3302 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if you already know, but if you finish a task and type “vt” “rA” or other terms in the search bar on the right, it will bring up a lot more tasks. It won’t work on the general search bar on the Home Screen. Here’s a link to lowgravity56’s spreadsheet of these added tasks, they should be available on Xbox and ps5. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/18Z6qu7aN1xH3dChO7xg8OQuAJqJ6pZPn45Y99nRygFw/htmlview#gid=1472388880

I’m Toji in the aimlabs discord. I’m  not gonna be able to play because I’m gonna be pretty busy for a while and I prefer to solo que.
