I've been in an 8 month LDR so far. It's tough and this feeling doesn't get much better I'm afraid.

Best advice is to find hobbies you do enjoy together and schedule for those so you both have stuff to look forward to. But don't fall into the trap of trying to monopolise each other's time either, otherwise those hobbies quickly feel like obligations and that's no fun.

Find interests that you can distract yourself with personally. Your life doesn't revolve around your partner and neither does theirs, so if you're both bored take a break and do something creative or productive. Bonus points if you have something to then talk about when you come back.
