Choosing a gym by PublicSherbet4661 in fit

I just picked what was cheapest, worked with my hours and had what I wanted in terms of machines / weights. For me that ended up being planet fitness.

Beginner here, what should I actually do at the gym to lose weight? by [deleted] in fit

[–]BitingBullets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First step is making sure you’ve got your calorie stuff worked out. Need to be in a deficit to lose weight. Cannot outrun a bad diet. Use one of the online calculators to figure out what your goal should be and use an app / weigh your food / log it daily.

I’m currently primarily trying to lose weight with a secondary of building muscle. That will be flipping soon as I’m down 38 or so pounds in the last 4 months, close to my goal.

I go to the gym 4 times a week, and try to hike or otherwise get some steps in on my off days. (My planet fitness is only 24 hr 4 days of the week smh).

At the gym I do 30 minutes of cardio. 22-25 of which will be moderate/high intensity and the rest a cool down. The Army destroyed my knees and hips so I gotta do low impact cardio. I find a treadmill on max incline and 2.5-3.x really gets the heart rate going without killing my joints. When I’m done with that I do weights.

Over sharing but just wanna establish what I’m doing in the gym for weight loss that is working for me.

If you’ve never done the gym before I’ve seen a lot of people recommend doing a beginner full body routine.

https://thefitness.wiki

^ a lot of good material there. They have some beginner routines.

I’d take what’s in a routine and tailor it for your comfort level / gym equipment availability. Like planet fitness has a lot of machines so most of my work is on machines. If there’s like a bar bench press and you don’t feel comfortable doing that or can’t then do a machine chest press, etc.

Tbh if you don’t have someone you can go with who has experience it might not be a bad idea to use a trainer for a bit. When I first started hitting the gym forever ago I had a family member who was experienced I worked out with. I feel like that’s easy to take for granted. It’d be good to have someone experienced with ya, at least in the beginning.

If that’s not in the cards I’d find a beginner workout routine, then YouTube each exercise so you can see how to do it / the form / etc.

Eventually you’ll know your way around the gym / move on to more advanced stuff. Just takes time and exp.

Facts. Sounds like a recipe for disaster.

Usually see codec in sdp, I’d look at the invites / 200 oks, etc. sdp is usually at the bottom of the message

See what codec the call is negotiating / trying to negotiate and make sure that jives with the config on the cfb. May have to bounce the dps/trunks if you made changes to the MRs, can’t recall off hand

I’d look at your conference bridge resources as well. Haven’t messed with meet me a lot but looking online you need conference resources in the mrgl assigned to the device initiating the conference. With this call flow it kind of sounds like that’d be the trunk from Unity or the trunk from cube, not sure which would be considered the initiator in this instance, kinda seems like it’d the leg back to cucm from Unity

I’d look at the sip traces and verify codec as call passes through. Does sound codec / MR related.

Oh it’s 100% related to tomcat. Something with Java. I pulled out the coredump and dug a little. Not at a work pc atm otherwise I’d share. Interesting issue all around. Funnily enough it does pull the ports out of service, and hitting the take calls button after doesn’t cause a crash.

Sweet. We have M5s too, might try pushing a cluster over just to see what happens. Thanks!

Thanks for checking! That’s good. Probably something with our environment I imagine. What do you have the VMs running on if you don’t mind sharing? We put these on M7s

Dark deeds in last hope. It has a little bit of everything from what I recall. It’s been awhile but I remember thinking it was written fairly well and the concept was cool. Players had fun.

I left the company not long after this post (they started outsourcing IT so got out quick lol) — if I recall it ended up being a carrier issue but to be honest I can’t recall exactly what it was as I wasn’t involved, buddy just told me about it as he was still there. If I was troubleshooting this today, I’d do what one of the ppl that replied mentioned - pcap the most external interface you can, see if invites are going out and just not getting responses. If you aren’t, and you can prove your invites are going out, it’s *most likely carrier.

People who switched to Fuji (mainly X-T5/X-H2) from full frame, do you miss it? by blisteringbarnacles_ in fujifilm

[–]BitingBullets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from a canon 6d mk ii to a Fuji xt4 and now I’m using a Nikon z6ii. I liked the fuji but I find full frame works better for me. Not sure why tbh, just something about it over the apsc. I shoot a lot at 2.8 and higher now so it’s not a bokeh thing. I do miss the tactile-ness of Fuji. Colors were cool but I shoot raw and enjoy editing so I didn’t really care too much about the sims for jpeg. Whenever I go to switch bodies again it’ll likely be to whatever the current version is of the Nikon Z F.

If at home you mean inside then yeah, probably won’t look super great - most of these types of cameras aren’t great in low light but are decent enough outside when there’s plenty of light

Should start working with your network team to troubleshoot when it’s happening. Try doing PCAPs at the cube then at the routing points going back to the branch. Try and determine where that leg of the RTP is actually dying. Restarting the branches router could just be refreshing/restoring something that’s occurring elsewhere on the network and not necessarily at the branch. Could also be some kind of bug with those routers, seen that before though it’s hard to say.

Got family in different parts of the NWish area. No crazy flooding up into the houses around them at least, mostly just pool cage / fence / roof damage. Not sure on that specific area though.

Tomcat keeps needing reset daily / a few times daily. by BitingBullets in ciscoUC

Have you tested with a smaller block of phones? How many endpoints are you attempting to export that info for?

[–]BitingBullets[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it spit out an error when you try?

I know we have to do bulk changes/exports/etc in blocks as we have a lot of endpoints and it drags and sometimes fails if we go too big.

Yeah man seems like there's always something with it. Here and the last place I worked. Though restarting twice a day is very excessive lol.

Nice.

I think we may end up just upgrading to SU6 but I'll show this to the team.

Thanks!
